Let me know what you find out. We are going the end of April on NA on deck 10
-
We upgraded to VQ on NA for 100$ pp it sounds like a good deal
-
We are on NA on deck 10, a VQ cabin. Hope it is a little more quiet that high up.
-
We just got an offer to upgrade from OV to veranda for 100$ pp. we took it. Sailing is one month away
-
We just upgraded from an ocean view to a veranda on deck 10. Not many staterooms on that deck but heard the views are great. Not worried about motion as we don’t get sea sick. Anyone have experience with staying on the panorama (10) deck? Thanks
-
Thanks. I hope NA is more functional
-
I just purchased it for an upcoming cruise. I believe it is 5-10$ more per day per person if bought on board
-
Thanks. I never expect cruise food to be 5 star but I must say,our Celebrity food was not very good. Will hope that MDR fare doesn’t disappoint.

We are sailing soon on NA. The last cruise we took was on Celebrity. Reading reviews before the cruise there were a lot of complaints about food quality. When we cruised, the MDR food was average to bad so the reviews were correct. Now, the reviews on HAL are mixed but mostly negative on quality of food. Should we be worried? TIA

We stayed at the Tru near the airport. Great hotel and close to cruise terminal. Bfast was good
-
The two cruises we have taken on Celebrity were crowded but the low point of our last cruise in October was the food. Very few options and taste was mediocre
-
We are older so the quieter the better.

Is that really true? The HAL website says the upgrade is only in the category you have. Thank you
-
True. But it looks like there are only 10-12 F stateroom and they all together on main deck. Thanks
-
We are on the NA. Got HIA but not Orange Club as we are in a F stateroom and they appear few in number and all on main deck next to showroom. So I don’t think the upgrade would not be a factor. Thanks

Alaska in early May will not be busy at all. Alaskan cruise already don’t feel as crowded and busy as warm weather cruises. HAL is also not a party ship and Alaska is a far more laid back cruise. Most people are on their balconies, lounging in the spa, enjoying the crows nest. And being earlier in the season and during the school year helps reduce the chaos as well.i think you will find it beautiful, peaceful and calm. Which ship will you be on? I’m doing my third Alaskan cruise with HAL this June. Previously went in mid May and once late April.

Correction: the Club Orange RESTAURANT is only available on Pinnacle ships. The program with varied benefits is fleet-wide.
Thanks. We have a F category ocean view on NA. As far as I can tell, there are not many of them and they are on main deck next to the theater. So Club Orange probably would not offer an upgrade to a better stateroom since there are only a few F staterooms.

I have been on two Celebrity cruises. Both times the venues sometimes seemed crowded. I have been on two HAL cruises but not in several years but I believe they didn’t ever seem crowded. We are going to Alaska in early May. TIA for any opinions.

We just booked a newly refurbished porthole stateroom. We don’t spend much time in the room

Doesn’t matter if it’s room service,OVC or MDR, I think Celebrity’s food is not very good.

Please post all the “more official” info you have38 minutes ago, NutsAboutGolf said:A very respected CC member said they were told by the retreat manager in early 2023 that X changed to a cheaper beef supplier which is utilized for all restaurants except for specialties
We just completed an 8 day cruise on Equinox. The food quality across the board with the exception of TG was average or below. Service in MDR was average and hurried. Food in OVC was good at breakfast but lunch and dinner was average to horrible. I don’t think we will book X again. Just my opinion. Others may feel differently.

Just finished 8 days on the Equinox. I liked the ship but it needs an update. New chairs, etc. Crew was great and service was great. There are very few free activities available during the day. Entertainment at night good, not great. My main complaint is food. MDR breakfast ok but evening meal choices and quality was not good. The buffet was not crowded and a lot of choices but average to below taste. Celebrity needs to ramp up food quality or I fear cruisers will go elsewhere.

The Tru by Hilton is very close to both the airport and the cruise terminal

I meant when do you address your intention to alter the gratuity amount- on the first day of the cruise? Thanks

We will never sail X again. Poor service and food.
