THIS IS SERIOUS and not just a reason to tell people to not come to terminal before 1:00.
Per cdc.gov - the Pearl has a serious virus on board - for those boarding 4/6 (which I am) the ENTIRE SHIP will be CLEANED UP AND DOWN and boarding will be delayed. The ship will arrive early with this week's passengers and get the passengers off early. There are a lot of details on this website.

I am looking for a backup in case parking at the MIA port is full. I am not trying to save money. Can anyone recommend a safe and efficient (quick drop off and pick up) off site MIA port parking place?
Thanks.

I would guess it is different. I don't know what the Pearl is doing this week but the one Mon 4/6 is 10 day.

Just received a message from NCL related to our Pearl 4/6 sailing saying "please don't arrive until 1:00 Mon. due to clearing and cleaning......."
Has anyone received this message about your ship before?

When one uses the Platinum benefit of a free bag of laundry, does it have to be on the discount day for all cruisers or can it be any day?
Thanks.

Thanks to all of you for your response. MissDixie - love your name since I am Rebels82 and an Ole Miss grad!

Will be on the Pearl 4/6. It seems that parking, on Mon., will be hard to find since those that departed on Sat. and Sun. ships will have their cars in places.
Has anyone had experience departing/parking on Mon.?
Thanks.

Has anyone been to Tortola recently? If so, how is it? I read from someone a month ago that they were doing work around the pier area and it "would be nice when it was done".
Thanks.

I am a table player and will be on the 10 day Pearl leaving April 6th. I have been told in the past that I need to tell the current NCL ship I am on about my previous NCL cruises so they can "update" my prior play to the "current ship". Sounds like a terrible system but that is not my point.
Since I will be in the "new year" in April....will I need to tell anyone to "move my play" from Dec./Getaway to April/Pearl?

The Epic has NO SMOKING tables which is GREAT.
-
Yes, there was a Let it Ride Table but it was in the Smoking section. This was in Dec.

When one uses the Laundry Service, do the clothes come back pressed and ready to wear?
-
Is the Freestyle Sun Deck clothing optional or another sun deck?
Thanks.

Thanks for all your replys. I was the one that asked the original question and went on the Splendor a few weeks ago. Some casinos have non smoking table games (not slots). The Splendor does not. It did have some non smoking slots which had the non smoking label on them.

To answer an earlier question - I am on the Pearl 4/6 sailing.

We will be on the 10 day Pearl leaving Miami on a Monday. Does anyone know how trying to find a parking spot at the port will be on a Monday?
Thanks.

I was on the Splendor 2 weeks ago so I have a comparison...you will love NCL because: anytime dining means dine when you would like not, like CCL, when the tables next to you fills up and then we take your order. The Muster Drill on Splendor was "around 3:45 per Fun TImes" and lasted 45 mins. without any check off of names....NCL takes this very seriously - bars close, your cabin will be checked off, and you will not be there more than 20 mins.
Rather than Rap music played by a DJ by the pool, you will have a live band on sailaways and several days.
You will have live music at several places on NCL ships each night.
The shows will be much better on NCL. The cabins on CCL are nice.

I have the UDP for the 10 day Pearl. How do the restaurants know we are on the UDP? Does our card have a sticker or something?
Thanks.

I have been on several NCL cruises. Just got off of CCL Splendor last week.
As others have said Freestyle Dining is really eat when you choose. On CCL we had Anytime Dining but it really meant when the tables fill up next to you then we will take your order. You will find more than one or two lines to disembark the ship during port days thus not having long lines like we had last week.
Last week our Muster Drill started "around 3:45" (that is what Fun Times had literally) and lasted 45 mins. No one checked off names/cabins. Maybe they had another way of checking. Anyway, the Muster Drill should be more serious and much shorter time.
There will be MANY more live music venues and restaurant choices than you have had on a Carnival ship.

"$12.95 up to a mini suite" does that mean a mini suite is included in the $12.95 price? If so, I would have thought it would have said "through" a mini suite.
Thanks.

Not trying to ban smoking in the casino...make everyone happy.....have a Smoke Free area with slots and tables and HAPPY dealers not having to deal with the smoke... MONITOR that area....the smokers can have their own area slots and tables....hopefully Carnival will do that in the future like other lines have done.
-
That is sad...not to start a war but other cruise lines have No Smoking Areas and they monitor it. If some smoker is "hanging out" they say please move on. It would be nice if all cruise lines have at least a Non Smoking area. That way smokers and non smokers have "their area" and dealers LOVE to work in the non smoking area.
-
Don't the smokers have to be playing to be allowed to smoke?
Does anyone monitor the smokers who are not playing?
-
Getting on the Splendor tomorrow. Is there a No Smoking area for table games? Thanks.
