  1. Option One ... contact Jet Blue. Usually no charge to change flights since they changed the time.

Option Two ... just stick with your 11 AM flight and hope for the best. Likely will make it just fine, but may need to take a cab rather than ship shuttle.

Option Three ... Whatever she chooses, tell her we hope she has a great time.

  2. We are on one of these cruises. Missing one port is a small price to pay to protect endangered species. Though we have seen plenty of whales off Kauai, Cabo San Lucas and British Columbia, it's always fun to see these amazing creatures. Just fortunate enough to afford to cruise and in the scheme of things ... for us ... it's no big deal.

  3. Paul ... we always love joining you on your blogs. We will be on a different Celebrity ship next month so will enjoying hearing your thoughts on the cruise line. We booked really early for a New England cruise and scored an aft cabin. That will be our first time at the back of the ship. With the premium drink package it should be a delight. Happy cruising.

  4. Love all the replies, especially the thong comment and the fines assessed to those who show up ten minutes late to muster!!!

As for us ... I like to fly in two or three days early to our embarkation port. Will do that until a cruise ship decides to sail out of Omaha, Nebraska. For our last cruise we met friends in Vancouver and explored that wonderful city for two days prior to boarding.

Then, if staying close to the port, I like to get up early and watch our ship arrive. Last time DW joined me for our 5 AM wake up and stroll to the dock. Thankfully, there was a coffee shop open on the way there!!!

When we get on the ship, the first thing we like to do, if our cabin not ready is have an adult beverage. If prior to noon, usually a Bloody Mary. If afternoon, the drink of the day.

One of my DW's favorite things to do is unpack and organize the cabin. I'm glad one of us like to do that and it's not me. I go out on the balcony to get out of her way and enjoy the sea air.

  5. The upgraded category is mid ship next deck up, so definitely a benefit there.

DW and I had a similar deal. Took it and now will do it again. Loved the location of the cabin, but especially the freedom to dine when you want with no wait. The two half bottles of wine were great at sail away.
