twototravel…thanks for taking time to share live updates, especially since this is your 2nd cruise on the Odyssey. Good to know about the close-toe shoes on tenders. Are you able to control the air-conditioning in the cabins?

FYI, I started a “Roll Call Thread” (https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/45-all-other-ocean-cruise-lines-roll-calls/) Vantage Ocean Odyssey Mar 22-Apr 6 Mumbai to Dubai cruise. Hope others on this cruise can connect there.

The Vantage Customer Service Rep on the phone said “there shouldn’t be a problem”. The rep is probably right, but I still felt a bit nervous. I then sent an email to Vantage and am waiting for their response.

Re-posting this question on this topic thread: We are booked on the Odyssey in March, Mumbai to Dubai. We have a question for anyone who has traveled on this ship to the UAE. Vantage website indicates that a UAE visa is available upon arrival at the airport, but no mention of availability at the sea port. Fujairah is the first UAE port stop on our cruise. Does anyone have experience with getting a visa at a UAE sea port?

Thanks again for the updates on your itinerary and the Odyssey. It does seem petty to charge for soft drinks. Hopefully the food quality will improve with time especially as passengers share feedback with Vantage.

Twototravel…I think you’re right…after you disembark in Singapore, the Odyssey travels to Mumbai where, hopefully, we would then start our cruise, h to Dubai. We are in cabin 710 (40 yr anniversary celebration).
