Opening of your review pulled me in. Looking forward to reading it all! Escape bound October 28 for my sister's birthday.
-
Awesome pics!! Thanks for sharing:)
-
Thanks for the review. Sailing on her Oct. 28.
-
Yeah. Happy to find this review. Going on the Escape in October. Decor reminds me of the Getaway. Nice!
-
You know you can buy same coffee at TJ MAX, and Marshalls for $9 a bag, right?
Wow!! Thanks for providing this info:)

Budget. Go to their website and use the port location.
We want to go to Universal Studios and I checked the cost for 1-day rental without a discount code and it was $52 for the day. If you are an AARP member you can book through their site and get a discount code to make a little cheaper.
Not sailing NCL this time but will probably just pay the price of the other cruise line for this excursion.
Good Luck and have a great time!

Nice Review. Looking forward to the rest.
I sailed on the Conquest April 2016 between Chemo treatments. This cruise was so relaxing for me and we needed it to bring me to my happy place. Carnival=Therapy for me:hearteyes:.
-
Awwww. I'm so sorry that happened to your Mom. I hope she gets better soon and that Carnival will do the right by her.

I place about $500 in cash on S&S account and give a credit card to for back up. We take about $1500 for 7-day cruise which includes excursions, port shopping (which is not much) tips and the casino. I'm over the trinkets in the port that are made in china and do not bring back many gifts for people anymore. Always pre-pay gratuities and have some single bills for tipping for room service.
My last cruise on NCL my final bill was around $75.00 which is historic for me ;)

Oh wow, he's a PVP now? Awesome. We, too, met him in April of 2016 on the Conquest (April 16 sailing). His historical talks were really interesting. And my BIL is military, so they really appreciated the the things he did for military folks. Great guy. :)
He sure is! Hubby is Veteran from the U.S. Army National Guards. We attended the Military Appreciation and Josh was great!
Big Sexy was our CD in July last year on Conquest. Very fun fella and I would have said that even if we hadn't won a free excursion from him during that first sea day introduction show. ;)That is so awesome! Free excursion trumps a ship on a stick in my opinion.

Love your reviews!
I had the same situation on my last cruise. Hubby and I just got a new home right before my cruise on the Getaway. My mind was spinning on what needed to be done when I got back. After a while I settled in and enjoyed my Haven Suite and had a blast!
-
Ahhh the Haven. Such good memories.
We asked for BLT and turkey sandwiches, gummie bears, m&m peanuts, meat and cheese tray, pitcher of lemon aide, extra sugar and cream and ice everyday.
Your butler will supply with you anything that is in their means. Enjoy your Haven experience!

Sailed with NCL twice with once being in the Haven on the Getaway. We had a fantastic time and received good service from the moment we arrived in the terminal to check in. The entertainment was excellent and the food was good to us. I had the best waffles almost every morning. The suite experience on this class of ships out does the Carnival suite experience. However, I'm a still a Carnival Girl! Carnival is truly the Fun Ship and Norwegian seemed to be a little more mellow in my opinion. I have two cruises presently book with Carnival and looking forward to them both!
Decide for yourself about what type of cruise experience you want. Relaxing on NCL or getting in a lot of Fun on Carnival.

I saw a few old school machines on my last cruise. However, the older 3 reel machines have been converted to more of a video style.
Have great cruise and good luck!

Thanks for the heads up. Was not able to get one but will check each day. CCL cards sell out fast!

I mentioned in another thread that I had a problem accessing CCL's website which still is not working for me
After trying since yesterday I decided to join Josh's page and sent him a message. He offered his assistance and told me to contact him. Well, I was able to book our cruise for November leaving from Baltimore on the Pride directly with Josh! He is a very kind and warm person and gave me his undivided attention as he explained my options. Presently, he is no longer a Cruise Director due to having a beautiful baby girl that he cannot pry himself away from:hearteyes: Now, he is a PVP.
We met Josh on our April 2016 cruise on the Conquest when we attended the Military Appreciation talk. He is an avid supporter of all branches of the Military. Much respect to him due to fact that my husband who is a Veteran that served in U.S. Army. The ceremony was great!
If anyone is still having trouble I recommend that you call CCL and his extentions is 82990. Not sure if this is TMI but he is awesome!
-
Now I know it was not my laptop.
Thanks everyone for your replies.
I was able to book my cruise with Josh aka Big Sexy who used to be the cruise director for the Conquest!
-
Has anyone been having trouble trying to search Carnival's Website?
I have been trying to access the site to book a cruise and keep getting error messages or when I think progress is being made the site still is loading.
-
^5 this.
I agree. No harm intended. I like to carry a wristlet to carry my S&S card.
-
Make sure you let Carnival know they will be celebrating their Birthday during the cruise do they can get a free gift. The Steakhouse is a great way to have a nice dinner Birthday for them and you get a FREE bottle of wine if you go on the first evening. You can make the reservation on Carnival's website.
Have a fantastic time!!

Loving your review. Can't wait for the rest!

I recall seeing raw sugar.
-
Ahhh the Haven!! I got so spoiled when I sailed the Getaway in the Haven. I'm so ready to go back!
-
Thanks for providing information about the Pride. I live about 45 minutes from the Port and was considering booking since I have the Casino offer. After looking for cabins, the best price seems to be for the obstructed view balcony.
I think I will fork over the extra money to avoid these cabin types.
Were kind of tired of flying to Florida and looking for hotels to cruise which bumps the cost up even more.
Your review was helpful and straight to the point :)
Yet another live from the Escape but with a twist June 3-10

Nice start. Ahhh the Haven experience :). I had an awesome time on the Getaway.
We had gummie bears and M&M peanuts in our cabin every evening except for the last night along with requests for BLT, chips, pitcher of iced tea and Chicken sandwiches for late night snacks. Request what you want again with your Butler.
Going on the Escape Oct. 28 to celebrate my sister's birthday but not in the Haven this time:(.
Enjoy your experience and I'm looking forward to reading your adventure.
