Do you think there should be a warning on all cruises for each specialty dining stating that this restaurant may not be available for any specific night? If that's good, then should there be a similar warning for any feature? For example, should there be warnings that the go-carts may not be operating? Or warnings about the non-availability for specific wines or beverages? Or, perhaps a warning that a specific dish may or maynot be available on all days or at all seatings?
Where does this end?
All your examples are what reasonably could occur during your cruise. However a venue being closed for the duration of the cruise and on purpose is not reasonable anymore.
So yeah, the closing of the Le Bistro should be announced to passengers, others things not.

Unacceptable. One night okay but the entire length of your cruise is just not OK.

Hi guys
I have the Premium Plus drinks for my upcoming cruise. Anyone has suggestions to some premium drinks/cocktails I could take? I know of the champagne, better wines and better rum/tequila/etc but are there also premium drinks that are only covered in the P+? Like some signature cocktails?
I prefer fruity sweet drinks like Pina Colada, Sex on the beach etc.
Any tips welcome!

I like big(ger) ships, as long as they don't turn them into theme parks like RC. Curious how NCL will take on the mega ship designs.

For me it's a no brainer as I love champagne, bottled water (during diner, in your stateroom, at the pool and the better bottles of wine at dinner. The premium cocktails is a +.
But I always take it in the P+, it's a good deal.

If possible, you can get good deals last minute. I might start booking only last minutes from now on as the fares have become very expensive if you book a year in advance like I mostly do.

I used to always book it, but for my next cruise I'm in doubt. I believe it's becoming a bit too expensive for what it offers. I love the thermal pool though.

For those curious of the itinerary change, details below.
- Notification Time:Less than 24 hours before check-in. Talk about a last-minute surprise!
- Shortened Cruise:By one whole day. (Because who needs that extra day of relaxation, right?)
- Port of Call Casualties:Goodbye Tortola and San Juan. We were especially looking forward to Tortola. 🏝️NCL’s compensation
- 20% Future Cruise Credit: Like a rain check on a future party – nice to have, but doesn’t quite make up for the missed celebration.
- Pro-rated Refund for One Day Lost: A decent gesture, but still leaves a lot to be desired.
- $100 credit to stateroom
Thoughts on from those impacted on the compensation? And those not impacted - what would you have considered fair given the details above?
More than fair.Only thing is that they should compensate maybe for the hotel, but for the cruise part the compensation is more than fair.

Just call NCL.

I would pick La Cucina over Tepanyaki. Tepan is show cooking but is very loud, it's not a cosy dinner at all. Moderno not my cup of tea as I'm not a meat lover.

For you wine drinkers out there, what do you think about the FAS included wines? Is there much if a choice or would you recommend upgrading to FAS Plus? Thanks!
I believe the included wines are pretty decent. Don't expect 3 star michelin wines of course, but not Chateau Migraine either. Unless you're a real picky wine lover, I believe the FAS has some for all tastes.

Oh really.
I mean during dinner of course because then you can order the better wines/champagne by the bottle and thus I ask a bottle for my table and NCL doesn't mind and they even put glasses for my travel company.

Someone posted on another thread that drinks available on the Premium Plus drink package are different and better than drinks available from drinks available on the upgraded Premium Plus Free at Sea package. Is this correct? It was news to me. Quite honestly, I can't imagine why anyone would ever buy the stand-alone drink package.
Here is an overview of the extras in the P+: BEVPackageFlyerUOBP_PPBP0524.pdf (ncl.com)
Personally for me it's a combination: I love champagne (+ you get it by the bottle so I share my P+ with my travel friends who don't have P+), the better wines, the bottled water, the fresh juices and the starbucks coffees.
For me it's a nobrainer to take the free at sea plus, because it also gives me wifi. -
Will have to extensively try the new champagne in september in my p+ package.🥰

Was just on the Bliss last month and they had fully shifted over to Jean Haton Brut Rose in place of the Pommery. Pommery Rose wasn't even on the menus any more. Haton is the P+ champagne by the glass. The only place with Veuve was Le Bistro, as expected.
Yeah, I just checked NCL website and they indeed switched to this brand now. -
Don't worry, the Pommery is widely available in all bars. I even found it at the outdoor bars next to the pool.

I've given NCL one more chance to fix this with a formal letter. I'll let you know how it goes.
And all of a sudden they recognize the error and applied the €200 correctly after informing then about my other steps at the european services.
Well, it got resolved and that's all that counts. ☺️

Well as I'm mostly single traveler, the ridiculous upcharge for a balcony is not worth it. All I do in my cabin is sleep and take a shower. For the rest I'm enjoying the in- and outdoors of the ship so it's a waste of money for me to be in a balcony. I rather use that money for spa access etc.

Let us all know how that complaint comes out. I do believe that European countries provide more consumer protection in instances like that than we in the US receive.

I'm a very loyal NCL guest, but be very careful with them because they are thieves, especially with their vouchers and credits.
I booked a cruise with a total fare of €2.603. Later I called because I had a customer care voucher of €200, they applied it and my cruise fare dropped with... €2 to €2.601. Several e-mails later they refuse to acknowledge the error and say the voucher was applied correctly, even with me sending in the before and after invoice where they can clearly see that only €2 was deducted. An of course they never cearly indicate on their invoices what customer care vouchers were applied and they only adjust the cruise fare so good luck with that.
I'm tired of their **** and gonna file a complaint at the European services for consumer protection.

I'm getting a bit frustrated at NCL's marketing policies, which are with no doubt infractions to several false advertising laws in EU. Their -40, -50% promotions that are always "ending soon" have actually never ever ended.
They are also just faking their "normal" prices by adding "discounts" to bring the new price to what were normal prices before they started doing this trick precovid. -40% off on a falsely inflated price briging the real discount to more or less -0% comparing to precovid prices (adjusted for inflation in the sector).
Shameful practices.

So happy they didn't put the race track on it, such a waste of outdoor space for 1 activity. 😍

Veuve is overrated, the Pommery and LeKool Champagne on board are perfectly fine Champagnes.

Yes, but in all honesty it seems to be declining.

The 4 mushroom soup is the better pick guys.
But on topic: I would be surprised if they were the same and I'm almost sure it's not the same soup.
