Thanks everyone. Looks like it may be a beach day for us - good thing we love beach days :)

First time visiting St. Kitts - is there anything that we should put on our must do list? We really don't much care for bus tours, etc.

We've explored on our own many times. We've even rented a car and just took off driving on different islands. However, this is a girl's trip without the husbands and we would prefer to stay in a group. The last three or four times in Cozumel we just took a taxi to Mr. Sanchos for the AI and spent the day. Looking for something different this time.

Cruising this week and trying to decide between these two excursions. Has anyone on here done both and, if so, which was more fun. This is the bar hop on the other side of the island, not downtown.

Thanks, I will pass that information on. I asked about interests and will post more if I find out.

I have a friend who is cruising in July with elementary age children. Was considering a catamaran to Margaritaville. My experience with this Margaritaville many years ago was it may not be the best excursion for young children. Anyone have any ideas for him?

You need to get International texting. I think it cost me 10 - 20 dollars for my last cruise. Be sure to cancel it when you return home as I forgot and paid for it for almost a year.

Does anyone know why embarkation would be from 1:30 to 3:00? We've always boarded between 11 and 12.

The only downside to us is it lets light in :) We book interior and even roll up a towel and put it under the door for sleeping - we like it dark.

Anybody know anything about Steve Krisley? We are on the elation in September.

We always cruise hurricane season and we have never missed a port. We are cruising September 20th this time. The ship can always navigate around a storm.

My 17 year old daughter is on her way home from a cruise right now with her grandparents. She met and hung around with 15 other girls on the cruise the entire time. She meets a group of teens every summer when she cruises with the grandparents. Her daughter should have no trouble meeting a group to hang with. Good luck.

I had to place a call to a ship regarding an emergency several years ago and the message was never received after two phone calls. You might want to set up a check in day where you can turn your phones on for a brief time and check for emails, texts, etc. Last cruise, I signed up for ten international texts through my cell provider and I believe it only cost me ten dollars or so total. To call a Carnival ship though the number is 1-877-225-7447 (877-CCL-SHIP) and you must give the ship name and guest name. Hope this helps.

On the Elation, I've been in an interior room and a room with a porthole. The porthole was neither better or worse. They were really equal rooms for me. Going again in September and my husband made me book an interior. We do like the complete darkness of an interior room.

I'm not sure if this is the reason or not, but they are having a More the Merrier sale.

We are also cruising in September out of NOLA as we have done in the past. We have never had an issue with the weather. It can be a little windy/chilly during the trip down the Mississippi River, but quickly warms up. I have not noticed any difference in rain, as it has rained on trips we have taken in the summer also. We enjoy the price during fall cruising. Enjoy your cruise - maybe we'll see you on board.

We are booked for 9/20. Looks like dry dock is the day we get back.

Does anyone know the date of dry dock for Elation next September. We are booked on this ship next September. I had not heard it was going to be in dry dock. We have several other couples booked with us and I would hate our cruise to be cancelled and we have to start over.
-
The Elation also has the Cheers program. Our friends sailed last month and used the program and loved it. They never did make it to 15 drinks a day. They came close though.

Thanks for the help. I will look into the products you mentioned. I'm two and a half months out and have time to shop and compare. We have five girls cruising and I need something large enough to hold all our stuff. Thanks again.
-
Has anyone used either of these products recently and, if so, how did you like it? I'm trying to decide between the two. The bag is very large and functions as a beach bag, but I wonder how easy this bag would be to cut into, although many people probably don't walk the beach with a pocket knife. The vault is less than half the price, but is much smaller. Any help from users of either of these products would really be appreciated.

We were there on the first day of no rain after four days of rain and the water was very murky. Could not see your feet in the water.

I was at Mr. Sancho's last Monday and had fish tacos for lunch. They were excellent. Between the six of us, we ate steak fajitas, shrimp ceviche, shrimp cocktail, chips and guacamole, fish tacos, and I can't remember the rest. Everything we had was wonderful.

We just did this in January and it actually worked out great. The quickest boarding we have ever had.
