  1. Sorry, I cruised so many MSC ships, I always only remember details from the last two ;)

Anyway, this things are not sold in the shopping area. But yes, I remember opportunities to buy stuff from the kids area, this was sold directly in the kids club area.

Thank you !! I might give them a call to see if they can confirm this ! Really hoping you’re right, thanks Again !

  2. It was a few years ago now but I remember we just walked to the train station. I cant remember if we got a bus from the ship to the port entrance or whether we just walked (perhaps someone else has more up to date info?)

We had followed a reviewers instructions - there was a post with photos showing the landmarks - but it wasn't too hard just a couple of blocks walk to find it.

We made sure to leave Rome with numerous hours to spare just in case the public transport failed and we had to resort to a later train or indeed calling a taxi. Think we left after lunch, to be honest we had had enough by then (whilst there is loads more to do etc) I was happy to get her back for her afternoon nap!

    hi!

I’m really enjoying the information you’re giving. Can you tell

Me what time you left the ship to get the train into Rome? It’s exactly what I want to do and just see the coliseum and have a some lunch - then back to the ship.

  3. I have dined in Chops a half dozen times and have yet to be impressed. You will definitely want to dine in the YC dining room every night. You will find the food and service there to be better than any other DR on Fantasia.

I wasn't impressed with Choppes either! Hoping the Speciality on Fantasia is better!

  4. Hi Emma, You will probably get to the port earlier than that but you can start embarking from about 10.30am on. You may have to wait in the terminal to board but at least there are toilets and refreshments available. Ken

Thanks Ken!! Hopefully we wont' be hanging around too long :-)

delighted to hear we can board earlier than 3pm (as I was told on the phone by MSC agent)

  5. Hi,

wondering if anyone can give me a bit of insight on how early we will be able to board in Barcelona.

We will be arriving into El Prat at 10am and after baggage collection it'll probably be closer to 12.30PM arriving at the port. Will we be long waiting to board at this point? It will have been a pretty early start travelling with a 3 year old so I just want to be as prepared as possible and have everything run as smooth as we can.

    Thanks

    Emma

  6. Any suggestions for a nice Barcelona airport hotel that provides complimentary airport shuttle service.

    Thank you

We are staying at BAH (Barcelona Airport Hotel) for one night and they are close to airport but offer complimentary shuttle to and from the airport.

  7. Hi Guys,

I've tried searching for an answer to this particular question but can't find one. Even the agent on the phone in MSC Customer Care can't answer.

I am trying to add WiFi Package to our cruise but it's not working. I can add the drinks packages, excursions etc but when I click add to cruise for Internet Package, it goes into a loop and doesn't add.

The agent is having the same problem and says I have to wait until I get on board, then she quoted me a higher price that I had received before for the Package. And told me there will be "on the spot offers" when I get on board.

Has anyone here had any issues securing their WiFi package or is it just as simple to wait until we board the ship?

    Thanks, in advance.

    Emma

  8. Once again, you can absolutely take your electric hair curlers and your electric hair flat iron on board all of the following cruise lines as I have done so multiple times: Royal Caribbean, NCL, Carnival, MSC, Costa, Holland and Celebrity.

    Thanks for this update!!

  9. Hey everyone!

We’re booked on Fantasia ex Barcelona 19 September and realistically the only day trip that appeals to us is Rome.

I’ve been, but my husband hasn’t and I’d love my daughter to have the experience - regardless of whether she remembers LOL.

My question is, has anyone done this with a toddler and is there any do’s and Don’ts?

Are we maybe better off heading to Rome on our own and doing a couple of the sights and making our own way back to the ship, rather than spring 6-7 hrs on a guided tour?

    Thanks in advance [emoji16]

  10. Hi Guys!

Just looking for a bit of info on the Duty Free shopping on board Fantasia. 19 Sept sailing Ex Barcelona.

I’ve never cruised in the Med and just wondering about pricing and if there’s any savings compared to main land?

Also, a little side note - does anyone know of any of any decent places to buy perfume (legit) in Rome ?

    Thanks

  11. Hi!

Thanks for the reply! It's more so about saving the €40 taxi fare and booking a hotel that's closer to the airport with a free transfer the next morning.

We'll just want to get to a hotel, chill out, let our daughter nap, then have a bit of food.

We've been to Barcelona before and adored it, and if we could do it this time I'd opt for staying an extra 4 days with our daughter. But we won't be able to do it this time around.

We've said that if we decide that we're up for it, we'll take the metro into the city for the evening, but better to decide when we're there and how tired we all are :)
