I'll also add, that I'm not asking for people to be dressed to the 9's but a shirt and chinos/trousers isn't too much trouble for men. And a skirt and blouse/ dress/ trousers for women is just courtesy. It's not Disneyworld where we all lounge around in shorts and tshirts eating hotdogs and popcorn.
A little effort isn't difficult.

Nope. Not your say. When it is called Memsy Caribbean Cruise Line let us know.
Memsy Caribbean Cruise Line has a great ring to it! ;-)
Whether it's my say or not, I'm entitled to an opinion. :-)

I think I would agree with those who think the dress code should be enforced.
There's plenty of air conditioning on the ship so it can't be for heat reasons, so if it says no shorts or flip flops/sandals at dinner then I think it should be adhered to.
There are plenty of dressy clothes for people to wear that are both comfortable and "dress-code worthy".
I'm not a pretentious person by any means. I love lounging in shorts and jeans, but when going for dinner I like to wear a dress and flats or a nice blouse and slacks/trousers. It's not difficult, and everyone knows there's a "dress code" on certain evenings and if they don't want to adhere to it then they should pick another place on board for their dinner.

I thought the European plugs were absolutely excellent ! Lol took me a night or two to locate the one in our cabin, then had to find another when we got moved to another cabin on the 3rd day.
BUT when I discovered them I saw a huge difference in my hair.
Also nice to see that even the ship relies on European plugs in the hallway... My own opinion is that there is far more power for cleaning :-)

If you are in no rush, I would wait a couple of weeks, then try again online. If after that you still have a problem, I would use the "make an inquiry online" request on the C&A page and write about your issues there.
Thanks ! :-)

Ok, that explains a lot. Hopefully it comes through quickly as I'd like to book another one ASAP hehe
Thanks joepeka!

Ok, so I've got a "my cruises" account. Have just gotten home from the Allure 27 April sailing and im still having issues enrolling as a C&A member. It says after your first cruise you are eligible to become a member but it says it can't find my sailing when I'm enrolling.
Can someone help please ?
Thanks

Just arrived back in Ireland after our first time on Royal Caribbean's Allure. It was our honeymoon and it was amazing. The staff were so accommodating and lovely and it has definitely convinced us to sail with Royal Caribbean again!
Captain Johnny is a legend haha

Yeah I have a travel adapter ! So as long as I have that there should be no issue with the voltage ?
-
Hey all ! What time can we start boarding at today ?
Thanks

Hey all,
Has anyone had any issues with their GHDs or other straighteners working on board the Allure?
We sail today and I'm worried it won't work.
Hope someone can help me out ASAP
Thanks

I just got off the Allure yesterday and have all the Compasses. I probably can't get them scanned for a few days, but can answer any questions you have.
For C&A events, the Welcome Back party was on Tuesday (Sea Day) at 10:15AM. Meet the Stars was on Friday at 11:15AM. C&A Trivia was the same day at 12:45PM.
I believe the sailaway party on the helipad was held leaving St Maarten on Thursday, but somehow my invitation must have gotten lost.
Shows that didn't require reservations that I remember are the How to Train your Dragon ice show on Tuesday 1:15 and 3PM and the Madagascar Aqua show on Saturday at noon.
If there are other questions I can answer, let me know.
As for the wind on the pool deck, it was pretty windy our last day. Combined with 75 deg weather it made for a cool day up there. Other than that the pool deck wasn't too breezy even moving 19-20 kts from Nassau to St Thomas.
Thanks

I'd like to add another question if I may.
Is it really windy during the day/evening in April/May?
Is it possible to sit on deck at night without it being too windy and uncomfortable?

I've read lately that they're going to shave some of the stablizer fins to sell scrap metal

Thanks everyone for your input and replies. Appreciate it :)

I would also be interested in knowing if cans of Red Bull are included in the Premium Beverage Package.

We don't mind the idea of an apartment.
Thank you for sharing the link! I will look at that and get more information.
No problem. You'd be better off with the apartment for comfort and space with 5 people milling around.
You will find it very difficult to find a hotel in Europe that fits 5 people. :)
-
Personally, I would never use someone's open WiFi connection to do online banking in the Caribbean or anywhere else
I agree with you, I'd feel much safer doing it on board the ship. But Not to pay over $100 for the package. :)

Thanks Bob, and again Jo. :)

Hello! We are a family of 5 and I am have not had any luck finding a hotel that we could put all of us in one room. The kids are 11, 10 and 7 - so they're not "big kids" that would require a second room.
Can anyone provide me with some recommendations for pre-cruise lodging for 2 nights?
Thank you!
As the above poster said, you would be better off in an apartment for the couple of nights. There's lots around the Barceloneta area which is close to the Port, The Maremagnum shopping centre and Las Ramblas so you'll have lots of choice for food and entertainment.
How bout trying this website ? http://www.housetrip.com/en/rentals/141785?guests=1
It's very handy and I've heard great reviews from people who have used it for apartments in Barcelona.
Good luck.
Why is there a dress code if it is just a suggesting
in Royal Caribbean International

Lol... But you're aware of the dress code?
What's so bad about using a fold up Suit bag for carry on for your shirts and trousers. It's not an airline and there's no limit on carry on bags.
As soon as you get you get your cabin you can get rid of it.
