  1. I think I would agree with those who think the dress code should be enforced.

There's plenty of air conditioning on the ship so it can't be for heat reasons, so if it says no shorts or flip flops/sandals at dinner then I think it should be adhered to.

There are plenty of dressy clothes for people to wear that are both comfortable and "dress-code worthy".

I'm not a pretentious person by any means. I love lounging in shorts and jeans, but when going for dinner I like to wear a dress and flats or a nice blouse and slacks/trousers. It's not difficult, and everyone knows there's a "dress code" on certain evenings and if they don't want to adhere to it then they should pick another place on board for their dinner.

  2. I thought the European plugs were absolutely excellent ! Lol took me a night or two to locate the one in our cabin, then had to find another when we got moved to another cabin on the 3rd day.

BUT when I discovered them I saw a huge difference in my hair.

Also nice to see that even the ship relies on European plugs in the hallway... My own opinion is that there is far more power for cleaning :-)

  3. Typical Day

    2 coffee's with Bailey's for breakfast.

    5-6 mixed drinks a day

    2 chocolate Martini's b/4 dinner

    2 drinks at dinner

    2-4 after dinner

    7-10 regular mixed drinks

    2-3 Martini's

    Plus the Baileys with coffee

Thought should cover the 55.00 a day

And the rest...that list would hit $100 a day lol

  4. I just got off the Allure yesterday and have all the Compasses. I probably can't get them scanned for a few days, but can answer any questions you have.

For C&A events, the Welcome Back party was on Tuesday (Sea Day) at 10:15AM. Meet the Stars was on Friday at 11:15AM. C&A Trivia was the same day at 12:45PM.

I believe the sailaway party on the helipad was held leaving St Maarten on Thursday, but somehow my invitation must have gotten lost.

Shows that didn't require reservations that I remember are the How to Train your Dragon ice show on Tuesday 1:15 and 3PM and the Madagascar Aqua show on Saturday at noon.

If there are other questions I can answer, let me know.

As for the wind on the pool deck, it was pretty windy our last day. Combined with 75 deg weather it made for a cool day up there. Other than that the pool deck wasn't too breezy even moving 19-20 kts from Nassau to St Thomas.

    Thanks

  5. Hello! We are a family of 5 and I am have not had any luck finding a hotel that we could put all of us in one room. The kids are 11, 10 and 7 - so they're not "big kids" that would require a second room.

Can anyone provide me with some recommendations for pre-cruise lodging for 2 nights?

    Thank you!

As the above poster said, you would be better off in an apartment for the couple of nights. There's lots around the Barceloneta area which is close to the Port, The Maremagnum shopping centre and Las Ramblas so you'll have lots of choice for food and entertainment.

How bout trying this website ? http://www.housetrip.com/en/rentals/141785?guests=1

It's very handy and I've heard great reviews from people who have used it for apartments in Barcelona.

    Good luck.
