If you fly British Air on business class, no problems. The lounge which you have access to has a place to sleep and shower, happy flying
Didn’t know that…..thanks to you and everyone for sharing these suggestions

Thanks to everyone for your help and good thoughts. Using the phone # given to me by “dog” I was able to have the original flight rebooked. According to AA website it is not yet ticketed, but I am holding the seat. Yes, I agree never never fly in the day of the cruise….it was only because of my care responsibilities that I went that route.

To the best of my knowledge my flight was not cancelled…it is is still available at 10000 one way. I apparently was not ticketed in a timely manner.

Do you know if your flight has been cancelled by the airline. I hear several airlines are cancelling flights into London. Have you tried contacting the airline?

I was told that princess air would be open at 11am today eastern time. I have called direct # 3 times now and getting the same recording.

Just called the princess air office that I had been told would be open at 11 AM. “Office is closed OR no one is available to take your call. Please call again”.

As a 76 year old woman traveling alone from the us to London for a 16 day cruise I opted to pay the hefty surcharge for business class air through princess air. I booked at around final payment and paid in full, selected my seats on the airline website, arranged my ground transportation to the airport. To minimize problems I also booked princess transfers to the ship . This was to be a getaway for me from the daily caregiving I provided to my husband who has Altzheimers. I arranged for full time nursing care with relatives for back up and began dreaming about my small room with a balcony ..also with a hefty surcharge as I was paying double for a single. Purchased cruise insurance through princess. Yesterday about 2 1/2 weeks before departure I get an email from someone at my travel agency I had been dealing with about 15 years that my flight had been changed and I was leaving early in the morning and arriving not the day of the cruise but the night before. This puts my at heathrow with my luggage, cane and no bed to sleep in and a long wait for the earliest transfer .I called my travel agent who said I had to deal directly with princess as she had tried to call princess air but couldn’t get through. I then spent the rest of the day on the phone either being transferred to no one , put on hold or told there was nothing they could do as the air department was closed. At 930 pm eastern time I hung up the phone. I was on the phone as long as I would have been in the air.
I will start again in 3 minutes. I am platinum princess. I have travel insurance. I am looking for a new travel agent.

2 weeks has been the time that Royal has allowed for all the lift and shifts on cancelled cruises since last May.
yes, Dec 31 is the deadline to request a refund. You can use this link to request it.

I too had a cruise that was cancelled Jan. 26 Anthem during this last goround and never received a notice. However since i used a TA i suspect she was notified. (she didnt tell me though till i asked her around dec. 7. )What really kicks my butt though is the window of opportunity for a lift and shift was Dec2 through Dec 16 . 2 weeks !!!!
Was never notified of that deadline and thought i had some time to review all my options. Nope.....this diamond member is annoyed as Royal has refused an exception. Is Dec 31 really the deadline for a refund request Sunshine 3601? FCC at 125% is useless with the fare increase for 2022

thanks sm77. here's hoping...

Thanks heymarco, I thought there were some issues relating to this.

We are taking a transatlantic that lands in our home part of ny/nj and thus do not require a return flight. Pricing one way is exorbitant so the air/sea people booked us with RT flights and even these seem high. Isn't this an illegal practice since we are not going to use the second flight?

As a celebrity elite plus, I turned to princess after I could not find an appealing celebrity itinerary. I was pleasantly surprised with their product and while the food sometimes isn't as adventurous as Celebrity's fare, it was good !

Is Zumba offered as an organized activity? Since that is the only exercise I participate in, I will not pack special exercise clothes if it is not offered. Thanks from a first time Viking Ocean cruiser.

We sailed/dined with you on that Royal Transatlantic...pat/bill/carol/joanne/ We are using the credit from that cruise to take another TA as well on the Pacific Princess out of Rome in Dec. I will follow your report on this cruise ….enjoy

I would like to see the "3 drinks benefit" between 5 to 7PM moved to at least 8 PM to accommodate later dining.

We were on Oasis last week and the specialty dining seemed empty every night. We did FNDR ( Cheaper than using a BOGO) and changed the assignment to 150 Central Park. There were only 5 or so tables taken at 150 at 7:30 PM. We had a drink most evenings at Trellis Bar in Central Park so we walked through on most nights, and saw that the three restaurants in central park were nearly empty each night.
We didn't bother any other night and were never approached any special pricing.

What is FDNR?

I do not believe I have seen them on Viking Ocean Cruise but I have seen them in the coffee bar on Oceania Cruises ships. There are there for you to help yourself.

My nephew has to cancel his Royal Caribbean cruise 3 days before sailing, due to a work emergency. He took out the insurance offered by Royal. How does he access it to find out if he has any recourse. Thanks
