Well I just looked it up. Do we have any BCS championship fans? We r LSU fans. The BCS championship I think is the Monday we r on the cruise at 830 eastern time. I am sure it will be played on the ship. We were once on a ship out if Florida for the Super Bowl and I think they broadcast it on the large screen.

My wife and I were watching "Cops" last night and they were in NOLA on Bourbon St at Mardi Gras....She said we aren't going there.....I said I know....I've been a couple times in my single days and that was enough.:eek::D

We went to bourbon street once after a night parade - never again! In fact now, we try to leave the state during maradi gras! Until about two years ago, that is the week we usually cruised. Great cruise prices then! My son and I would take two days off of school and schools out the other 3 were no school for our parishes due to MG. Hubby would take a couple days off and we all had the week.

Smart decision to stay away from NOLA bourbon street during the MG season!

Unfortunately I am no longer booked on this cruise. I will miss cruising with you guys. But I have had to reschedule snd now I am on the Nov. 18 th sailing. Maybe another time, another sailing. Have a great cruise.

OK..SWA opened up their flights today thru mid Feb so I booked our return flight just now on Jan 12th with a great price and time :).Whew!!!,,,all air and hotel are paid for! :D

Great! I heard that the prices from California was high. Maybe they improved. Other areas were having good rates. I am really starting to think about this cruise now that it is getting closer. Working on convincing my friend and hubby to join us!

Looking for a job stinks!! With unemployment being high there are over 100 applicants for every job. And because of this, employers don't have to pay diddly. But, I'm not too worried and shall keep the faith! Are you working now?

Yes but still PRN. I am loving it! I will take someone's place on maternity leave in September. And then probably right when we return from tis cruise, another maternity leave for the same company. This week working at the same place I did a maternity leave in the fall. I guess I am averaging anywhere from 6 days to 15 days per month. Pretty nice! Good luck with job hunting my friend!

I will not be on here for about a week and Ingrid is on a cruise now, but I just wanted to say that the embassy suites had a suite, meaning hubby and I had the bedroom and the two boys had the ability to sleep in the living room area. NOrmally I may not care so much, but having Myles have a 20 year old friend with him, I think I would prefer the suite if comparable in price.

I have never cruised in Jan so this will be my tester. I'm just happy being on the ship though. :)

50% of our cruises have been in February. We have always had fun and found things to do! It shouldnt be that much different from January! Shouldnt have many young school aged children on it, but since my baby is gonna be 21 and hitting the casino, that is not a concern!;)

My nephew and brother are a lot of fun. you will get a kick out of them if they can join us!

I cant wait!!! :)

I'm a Hilton girl also. There is a nice Hilton right near the port(Hilton Riverwalk?) and really close to the FQ. There is also an Embassy Suites near the port. We stayed there last time we cruised from NOLA. Rooms were ok, but you can't beat their free breakfast buffet!

I have stayed at that hilton a long time ago...last time was when harry and I were only dating! It had a beautiful lounge, but I dont think you should count on a free breakfast!
