  1. Love the Havana Bar and the 2.0 upgrades.

    Loved, loved, loved JiJi.

It was always very clean to me.

Didn't love the spa bcuz it's missing the T-pool.

Did seem a little crowded, but it was the amount of kids that got me lol I've never been on a cruise with so many kids and I sail the same time of year every year.

The pizza wasn't as good to me and I usually love Carnivals pizza.

Comedy lounge is tiny, we didn't bother attempting to see a show.

No aft adult pool-pools & serenity were packed, lots of chogs.

Not complaining bcuz I enjoyed my cruise and will be sailing the sunshine again in August.

  2. I asked John Heald on Facebook today if he had any information. This was his reply which I was very excited about:

"Here you go mate, lots of upgrades and I wish you a brilliant time. cheers

    • Pizzeria del Capitano (deck 10 aft)

    • Blue Iguana Cantina (deck 10 midship)

    • Guy’s Burger Joint (deck 10 midship)

    • Pig and Anchor BBQ (Lanai deck 5)

    • Bonsai Sushi Restaurant (Promenade deck 5)

    • Alchemy Bar (Promenade deck 5)"

I am sure there are other things like carpet, stage, etc but the ones above were the highlights.

I hope they're not getting rid of Tandoor for the pizzeria. That change would make me so sad.

  3. No advice regarding your cruise, but a little about people.

Weddings tend to show you peoples true colors. While I was planning my own wedding I lost a few ppl and gained a few too. It's not easy being let down by people you believe are closest to you. I had a planned destination bachelorette party that fell apart in a similar way. I turned that into a mini vacay for DH & myself. We used it as a way to reconnect and take a break from all the wedding planning. Is it feesible for you to do something similar?

    Congrats on your engagement!

  4. Hi Kim! I absolutely love all of your reviews, but never comment. I guess I'm your official cruise critic stalker j/k lol Thank you for allowing me to live vicariously through your trips while I'm home planning my own.

Does your carry on fit underseat? What brand is it? I'm in search of a new carry on and I trust your judgement-especially since you're on flights more than I am.

Thanks agin for being candid and sharing your life with us!

  5. Nothing to do with the fire but I was wondering I'm in 8332 in January how the noise was at night

We heard no noise. I'm extremely greatful for that because I heard too many complaints about kids this trip. I've never heard so many passengers complain, especially about the same thing. I was told kids were running amuck all hours, playing tag in hallways, banging on stateroom doors, removing breakfast tags, switching signs from "snoozing" to "crusining", and just being plain disrespectful. I've read post and reviews about kids taking over ships and was glad to have never had that experience-we always cruise late August. I guess another perk of being so far aft is kids being too lazy or uninterested in traveling that far to terrorize other passengers

  6. ¡Hola from St. Thomas!

On Saturday there was a code alpha announced. We later learned someone threw their lit cigerett overboard and it landed on a 6FL balcony. It caught fire to a towel on a lounge chair. The fire was immediately put out and an investigation began. The party responsible was put off the ship in our first port, Puerto Rico, on Sunday. No one was harmed.

I haven't noticed the overcrowding or smells reported. I'm staying in 8328 and have family scattered around decks 9, 2, and 6. Everyone is happy with their rooms and service. Although, I've heard there are some rowdy passengers staying on deck 6, but I haven't had an encounter with them.

  7. With Early Saver you are entitled to price adjustments up to 2 days before sailing. If the price is the same and the only difference is the OBC you can price match without any negative ramifications.

ETA: once early saver always early saver no matter the rate you price match to.

  8. I've done both and have only repeated the Chef's Table. The BTF Tour was interesting and informative, but something that needs not to be repeated for myself. We've done one CT's menu twice and I'm going to do the current menu for the third time in August, unless it changes before then. For me it's not only the food, but the entire experience that keeps me going back. DH is also a fan and he's usually not into "elaborate" dining. Cruisin*tigger gave the best breakdown of both-only you can decide what's more appealing to you.
