so crazy - I hadn't checked the stock prices in awhile - wishing I had of got more than my 100 when it was $30. (yes I know it went lower than that) Hubby was telling me to wait to $15 LOL (yes it still might crash again)

My price was so low when doing the L& S for our OS cabin...............no way would I ever think I would see the price lower then what we paid 🙂
Congrats 🙂 I didn't think we would see a lower price for our Alaskan cruise - it was a pleasant surprise 🙂

I also found out L&S you can get OBC/reduced fare when the cruise price goes down. Since I had already paid my cruise off I ended up getting $600 OBC. The first time I called they told me I couldn't do this, but the 2nd time they said I could.

....and did they charge you more?
I was told Taxas and fees are $225.03
Another in our group was told on Lift and Shift -that information isn’t yet available.
Another re- booked in a balcony and their taxes and fees show on the receipt as $872.
Something doesn’t seem right.... we are all on same cruise, all in balconies.
I had to call twice - they charged each person in my party double taxes - on another thread someone helped me explain it to them when I called - It appears they didn't remove the fees and taxes from my first booking and when I did the L&S they charged me the new taxes. Taxes had only went up $2 in the end. Please make sure they aren't charging you double taxes

Actually I just repriced and it shows taxes / fees at 250...not sure where they $400 came from. Calling for the 3rd time.

We booked with Royal direct. Ovation as well...went from sept 4th 2020 to sept 3 2021. Do you mind sharing what your taxes are?

Just curious if any of you did the L&S from this year to next and noticed that the port fees/taxes are almost double?
ours went from $224 per person to $436 per person.

Just checked to see if they are still offering the Sept 4th Ovation out of Seattle and nope! it's gone from the website now. I did a L&S on Monday and moved ours until Sept 2021

I was reading this reply. I didn't think you could use the price drop policy if you used the Lift and shift.
Is that correct.I'll have to screen shot that as we don't usually get price drops in UK.
My first cruise in 2012 I managed to get a price drop but never after that.
They told me I couldn't take advantage of the lower price with L&S, only if it was higher would it be price protected.
I am waiting for my new invoice to see tho and will let you know!

They may have put on the new taxes and forgot to take off the old ones. The amount of taxed is not price protected.
It took 4 days for my adjusted invoiced to be sent. They did come with the correct pricing.
Good to know, thanks 🙂 the taxes were $1 more each. I was ok with paying $2 more for that 🙂

Just completed our L&S. While we got through right away it took her 1 hour and 45 mins to complete. No clue why it took so long. They said we would get the invoices in a few days because they had to work on doing the correct pricing since our new cruise didn’t have kids sail free. This was for ovation sept 4/2020 - moved to sept 3/2021. Ensure to check your invoices tho because for whatever reason they first tried to charge double taxes. (Haven’t read the 8 pages to see if this was already discussed)

OBC comes back right away - saved $181! Now to see when the refund actually comes back on my credit card lol

do you get the OBC back right away that you used? I got the Deluxe back in Nov for $52, but now it's $41. I used $200 OBC.
Will that show up right after I cancel, I still want to use the $200 OBC for it.
Thanks!

I am booked in Sept on Ovation for Alaska and it's 55/day - lowest I saw it was black Friday and I purchased it for 51/day. I had $200 OBC so it didn't seem as bad 🙂

We are on Ovation Sept 4 and the only way we will miss that is if they cancel. We are thinking it is far enough away that we will be able to cruise.
I am booked on this cruise as well and hope to see you on it - ppl just need to STAY THE F HOME! the sooner this happens the sooner the spread will slow down and we can get back to whatever normal there will be after this.
-
I haven't cancelled my Sept 4th Alaskan cruise. Just waiting to see what happens

If you follow his YouTube channel he said he will make a video each day. I think he said all passengers disembark the ship he is on either today or tomorrow.

Yet another drinks package question
in Royal Caribbean International

I have a cruise on Ovation in Sept 2021 *fingers crossed*
Are you subscribed to their news letter? I got an email a few days ago that there was a sale - our drink package went from 57 to 43...I ended up purchasing. That's the lowest I have seen it for Ovation. I would also check around Thanksgiving/Black Friday sales.
