Pretty sure Labadee (like CocoCay) has special dispensation when it comes to COVID rules since they are a private destination - you usually can ignore country rules there. That port list probably has not been updated in a while - some of those ports don't require any testing at all to enter.
I sent RC a message thru FB messenger and they said a certificate of recovery would not work for Labadee.

On the website, it says a certificate of recovery cannot be used to debark in Haiti. That means Labadee, right?
-
If you test positive, do they let you do another test to double check?

To add to above, the only exception would be if someone in the cabin is not already a C&A member. They will only get 2 pts per night in a JS. The double point promo is only valid for current C&A members. We had a new cruiser with us recently and they did not get the extra pts.
I didn't know this. It was the first RC cruise for one person in our suite so now I'll know why his points will only be 2x. Thank you.

In our experience it is random. We received invitation emails for our July 9 Mariner on Monday and for our July 17 Mariner last night, but nothing for our July 4 Mariner (first leg of a B3B). When I went out to the RoyalUp site on Monday, Tuesday, and yesterday afternoon I got the 30 day pop up on both the 7/4 and 7/17 legs, but received the invitation email for the 7/17 leg two hours later. The 7/5 sailing is still getting the 30 day pop up.
We have also gone out to their site 60+ days out and made bids without ever getting an email.
I just received the invitation email for the July 4th Mariner.

Has anyone been in this situation and gotten a certificate of recovery from their doctor that meets all the requirements? I'm wondering how much of a pain it will be to get a doctor to do this for you. It's hard enough to get school forms filled out each year.

I would watch for sales on the surf and Stream package. Since you're not sailing until March, watch out during Black Friday. I was able to get it for $140 USD for 3 devices. It's a 5 night cruise. I think the sale was advertised as 55% off.

Every family member who is linked with you will show your points until they are unlinked which at that time they should only show their actual points sailed however they will retain the last status they held with you.
Ok...so when he turns 18, he could be Diamond even though on his own, he has less than 80 points. Got it.... Thank you!

My son is showing the same number of points as me even though I have sailed more. When he turns 18, will his point balance drop to his actual sailed points?

We are looking at Deck 11, but wondering if deck 12 spacious ocean view can look directly
on to deck 11 balcony cabins? It looks like the windows are tilted outward, so can they look down
on the balcony's of deck 11.
TY.
I just got off the Navigator which is the same as Voyager. This is the view of the Deck 11 balconies from Deck 12 cabin 1854. We could definitely see the balconies below.

Where did they have laser tag? Got off about 3 weeks ago and there was no laser tag. Best ice show I have ever seen of RCL ship. Agree food was great in MDR and crew was great (loved the washy washy singers in WJ). Will be back in Sept and Oct on Navigator.
I was on the 4/11-4/15 sailing and I believe it was the first sailing to offer laser tag since the pandemic started. They offered it on the last day. It was in Studio B. Someone who seemed to be a veteran cruiser said it's always towards the end of the cruise because they do it after all the ice shows. They also said laser tag isn't offered on 3 night sailings.

I've read it's a good idea to order additional tests because some kits have things missing or some other thing wrong with them. Are you able to get refunded for these bad kits from eMed or Optum?

You have to buy THEIR test kits.
*Test kit NOT included. Use with any unopened iHealth tests, or purchase here.
These are the free tests you get from the government.

Just be very careful!! There was a post on another board where someone used this and the results they were emailed did not include all the required information and they were denied!!This person tried to get another result resent with everything they needed but with no luck…
so again….be very careful!!
I'm going to just order the tests from RC to avoid any unnecessary stress. Not worth it to save a few $$.

I might try this $20 proctoring thing with the Ihealth (government tests). I am still waiting for someone else to be the guinea pig, but it seems to check all the boxes. And we already have the tests. It would be nice to have a back up too, but I will have to see about the availability of a Walgreens or CVS test.

This would be great if this works. I already have the government tests from the USPS.

I would go by the expiration date on your test. My understanding is the earliest expiration date on what is currently being sold is in the fall.
So the tests don't have to be specifically used for the sailing you purchased for, right?
-
If I buy the RC eMed tests for an April cruise and end up not needing them because I can get tested at a local pharmacy, can I use them for a July cruise? It seems like a lot of pharmacies are discontinuing free tests and I want to be prepared. Do the expiration dates go that far out?

Onboard. All went well getting on, but a couple of my purchase (casita and teppanyaki) were not in the system despite clearly having receipts and them being posted in my order history. Took a few days for the folks onboard to work with corporate to figure it out. I swear the first guest services person treated me like I created a fake website or something when I showed my order history. Have to believe this whole pile of stuff is part of the same big computer glitch on royals part. I did get an apology from the beverage manager onboard who runs the casita rentals. All good on the end.
This has me a bit worried. I have Cruise Planner purchases that I have email confirmations for but they aren't showing in my Order History. RC cannot figure out why and say there's nothing they can do but that the purchases show on their system.

All too common. FCC is a four letter acronym when you add another strongly worded F in front.
Royal can extend the final payment date upon request from your TA given it's their FCC that is broken. In my experience it can take "seven to ten business days" to fix the broken FCC and after ten business days another seven business days to actually fix it. It all depends. The small team that can actually fix iit s so overwhelmed it's like they are using a thimble to scoop the water out of an overflowing bucket. Kudos to this team for working a job that is not but problems all day long. Shame on Royal for not investing in any technology for their backend systems in decades.
My TA did mention about extending the due date which is a relief. I didn't want to run the risk of possibly losing my cabin. Hopefully they figure it out quickly. My sail date is on 4/11.
-
My final payment is due tomorrow and I have FCC. My TA said that RC has verified the amount of FCC but for some reason, it isn't applying to my balance correctly. She has been dealing with this the last 2 days. I trust that my TA will get it resolved but has that happened to anyone? How was it resolved?

TreeCity is correct- those statements do not show up on the April 18th check in screen of the App. That said- I think testing will continue to be a requirement so I already purchased my tests and will be ready.
How do you order the tests?

What a great question.
I booked a beach bungalow for July and was confused as well but booked it anyway figuring I could always cancel it if it did end up being per person.
Voyager spacious ocean view (deck 12).

We loved it! Tons of space and a quick walk to the pools, Windjammer, free ice cream 🤣. The extra bathroom was great, too. We had 4 people in the room. 3 adults and a 14yo. I would book this room again if available.
