Glad to have you back on board once again!

We’ll get back to Patti shortly, but I have left the Pool Cabana and made my way to the alcove….. I have great memories of being here last January on the Celebration with the Tribe Cruise. My friend Jim and I hung out here most of the day drinking beer and having a great time with Tribe members such as Vic & Donna, Amy, Pam, and sid. We went through five buckets of beer that day. Pat and Patti did the picture tour together. Great times! I will make some new friends today as well. Here are some of my views from the alcove….. I enjoyed watching the zip liners going overhead all day long….. Now back to Patti who is getting some pictures of the pool area….. To be continued…..

What Knights on the Beach posted above is really the gist of it, along with the picture of the B2B letter. Thanks Beth, you did a great job of explaining. I'll just add to remember that they are two separate cruises, so nothing will carry over from one cruise to the other, such as OBC. You'll have different folio numbers each cruise. You will have to muster each cruise. This B2B that Beth was talking about was a bit of a cluster**** but it happens sometimes, and it's not always Carnival's fault. You normally will have about an hour where you have the ship to yourselves, but nothing is open, meaning no drinks until the new guests start boarding. This is also only the protocol for cruises departing in the USA. B2B protocols for cruises leaving say from Europe or Australia are different and I have no first hand knowledge. 😎

Patti is beginning to make her way over to our Pool Cabana. You can climb the stairs up to the Sky Bar up on top of the hill. You can also get up there by using the ramps by the pool area….. Patti makes it to the CoCo Cana Lounge by the pool. This is where the food and drinks for the Pool Cabanas comes from….. Here are the drink and food menus….. Patti has made it to the Pool Cabanas, and catches me out on our deck….. To be continued……

This area is very beautiful with waterfalls, Koi ponds, and beautiful flowers….. To be continued…..

We’ll get back to Patti in just a second, but I’m heading over to the Pool Cabanas with JT. He knows us from previous visits and is happy that he doesn’t have to go through his whole spiel with us. He just tells us that if we need anything at all to just call him. We requested the Pool Cabana closest to the bathroom. This is the only Pool Cabana that we haven’t been in. I took a few quick shots with the water camera from our deck..…. This picture shows the VIP area where you can get cushioned loungers, umbrella, pool floats, zip line and water slide passes, and a dedicated server for around $100. This is where we would go if we didn’t have a Pool Cabana….. Looking over towards the Restrooms……. This is the alcove on the lazy river that I like to hang out in….. Let’s see what Patti is up to. This is the Dufry Tax & Duty Free Shop. You have to walk through here to get in and out of Amber Cove….. Here are a few views from the Plaza….. Patti heads over to check out the amber exhibit…. Once off the ship, there are a horde of pedi-cabs that will take you to the end of the pier for the price of the tip. We always utilize this service and we have our favorite pedi-cab driver. Not seeing him initially, I yelled out ”number 11”, and he poked his head out and he came up front and center. He was so happy to see us. Over the years we had never learned his name, so we made it a point to find out. Let us introduce you to Alfredo aka #11! Alfredo drives us to the end of the pier…… Up on the roof some musicians play for us as we enter Amber Cove….. We bid goodbye to Alfredo, go through Dufry’s, and head out into the Plaza….. I’m checking us in for our Pool Cabana…… I’ll head over to the Pool Cabana with JT, the area supervisor. Patti, wanting to save some steps later on, will go around and take some pictures, and then meet me there. To be continued…..

Here are some more random views of Amber Cove as the Vista backs into her berth….. We stop back at the cabin to grab our bags and head off the ship. Patti has left a bag of laundry for I Gede….. We pass the Red Frog Pub & Brewery on the way off of the ship……. To be continued…..

Day # 5- (April 18th) – Amber Cove (7am – 3pm). We were up at 5:30am to get ready for the day. As usual when we come here, we have rented a Pool Cabana so we want to get off the ship as soon as possible. It’s going to be a partly cloudy but warm today….. Here are today’s Fun Times….. We aren’t going to eat breakfast this morning so we head out to the Havana Area to watch the Carnival Vista back into her berth…. To be continued……

On the Vista they had a pickleball tournament one day on the basketball court. Don't remember it being played any other time.😎

We always thought that the Splendor's Thermal Suite was the best amongst the ones that had the Thallasotherapy Pool. 😎

Tonight in the Liquid Lounge they are having Deal or No Deal. We have our favorite seats, our drinks and our cards….. Marty the Cruise Director is the host….. Virgil is the first contestant, and the $1000 comes off the board fairly quickly. He turns down a $240 offer and winds up winning $150. Tyler is the second contestant, and once again the $1000 comes off early. He takes it down to the very end and wins $125….. Our cards only gave us a $29 bingo package so a net loss of $21. Well get them next time! Afterwards, we went up to the Lido Marketplace and made ourselves a couple of salads. We topped that off with some ice cream, and then back to the cabin for the night. Today’s Cheers count: Patti = 4, Jeff = 12. For the day (+4), for the cruise (+12). Coming up next: Our day in Amber Cove, and # 11 revealed! IYKYK.

We spent most of the afternoon at the Havana Area. Here are some views….. Patti got some views of Grand Turk from the Havana Area…… We were getting hungry so Patti ordered from room service and had it delivered to us in the Havana Area. Are we getting lazy or what? We had chicken tenders and chicken wings with fries. We forgot to take pictures. Sorry. LOL. Around 4pm we made our way back to the cabin to take a nap. We found that I Gede had left us another towel animal….. To be continued…..

Patti heads up to Deck 5 and checks out the starboard side Lanai where Guy’s Pig & Anchor BBQ Smokehouse is. It’s not open today. It’s only open embarkation day and sea days….. Patti makes it back to the Havana Area where she finds me hanging out in the pool….. Patti’s thirsty from all her walking so she orders a Malibu Bay Breeze from Kiran for herself and gets one for me….. To be continued…..

The Restrooms by the pool….. This is the Swim-up Bar…… Here are a couple of pool views. Patti will cover this area more extensively when we’re back next week…… This is our Grand Turk vacation home. We will be here next week. We rent it out when we’re not here….. Patti decides to head back to the ship….. The port side lifeboats are being tested…..
