  1. Also, you have no privacy from above. The balconies above can look right down into your cabana. When we book a Havana cabin, we prefer the interiors on Deck 5. Never had any issues with noise. We have them for a B2B on the Vista next April.
  2. A little after 6pm we went down to the Frizzante Bar….. Here are the menus….. Patti had a Raspberry Bellini, and I had a Moretti beer….. This is our bartender Andrea….. We are soon joined by Cruise Critic member Rhonda and her husband Keith….. After a couple of drinks, we went up to the Lido Marketplace for a bite to eat. Patti had a salad, and I grabbed a few things from the buffet line….. We took a walk out by the mid ship pool where it was a beautiful night….. The crowd was waiting for the Jets / Chiefs game to begin…. Patti made her way back to the cabin to read her book. I stayed and watched the game until halftime, and then went back to the cabin for the night myself. Coming up next: Land Ho! Our day in Grand Turk!
  3. There is going to be an Art Auction in the Limelight Lounge later today….. Patti bumps into Charlie who is taking a picture of Patti, who is taking a picture of him! I meet Patti in the Teatro Rosso for “The Wave” morning show. Today it’s Cruise Director Joey, and Fun Squad member Oliver….. Afterwards, Patti and I head up to the casino to pick up our Fun Play for this cruise. To our horror we realize that this is another Elite Cruise, and the casino is pretty busy. We decide to check out the non-smoking casino annex and I sit down to play some blackjack, and Patti finds an open video poker machine. An hour later Patti is up $52, and I’m down a couple hundred. We can still catch the late breakfast at the Lido Marketplace, so up we go. After we finished eating we went back to the cabin, but Edy had just started working on it. We went down to the Lobby Bar and had a couple of drinks with Valentina while we waited for our cabin to be ready. Making our way back to the cabin, we found today’s towel animal….. We spent the afternoon reading, napping, and relaxing on the balcony. The seas are still wonderfully calm….. To be continued…
  4. Day # 9 - 10/01/23 - Fun Day at Sea # 4. Today’s installment is going to be short and sweet. I guess the camera needed a day off to prepare for the push that’s coming ahead! We were up at 7am to another sunny and warm day. The seas are as calm as a lake…… According to the map channel, we are now as far south as Florida, and making a beeline towards Grand Turk….. Here are today’s Fun Times….. I went up to the Java Blue Café for my morning coffee, and then hung around with Rich, Charlie, Kathy, and Janice until they went to breakfast. I went back to the cabin to work on pictures for a while. Patti went out to explore a little bit. She caught the Behind the Fun Tour heading to their first destination….. To be continued…..
  5. It's a dedicated arts and crafts studio aft on Deck3. Spots fill up quickly, and some activities, not all, come with a fee. Very popular.
  6. I got mashed potatoes and mushrooms on the Venezia three weeks ago, no questions asked.
  7. After the toast, Patti went back to the cabin to watch a movie. I went over to the Amari Bar to see our friend Zora…. While I was there I met Cruise Critic member Rhonda (rwest898). It was a pleasure talking to you! We’ll see Rhonda again, along with her husband Keith, later on in the review….. I made my way over to the Limelight Lounge for JeROME’s (R-18+) comedy show….. Comedy Club host Mathew (with one “T”) gets the show started….. I enjoyed JeROME’s performance. I would give him an 8 out of 10….. After the show I made my way back to the cabin for the night. Coming up next: Another beautiful day at sea!
  8. After we left Bonsai Teppanyaki we made our way over to the Piazza San Marco for the Captain’s Venetian Toast. The Playlist Cast started it off with a stirring version on “Nessun Dorma”, accompanied by the Quora String Trio. It was very moving…… Cruise Director Joey introduces the Senior Officers….. Captain Crescenzo addresses the gathering and offers up a toast….. To be continued…..
  9. Patti’s teriyaki salmon is ready….. Chef Ronaldo prepares my filet mignon and lobster tail….. For dessert, everyone got a Bento Box…… It was a great experience and meal. We highly recommend it! To be continued…..
  10. Chef Ronaldo makes the fried rice….. We all get Miso soup and a salad….. Chef Ronaldo is going to grill some veggies….. He also gets the chicken and salmon cooking….. We all get a plate of grilled veggies and a bowl of fried rice….. To be continued…..
  11. Tonight, we are having dinner at Bonsai Teppanyaki….. I’ve got my Sake Sangria….. Chef Ronaldo takes everybody’s entrée orders….. It’s time to fire up the grill….. A little egg magic….. To be continued….
  12. Hey Bob! Thanks for sharing your thoughts about your Spirit cruise. Seems like you had a good cruise despite a few bumps in the road. Sounds like the cruise parking is a nightmare. Give our best to Ann.
  13. Yes, all that you want. Be sure to tip the servers.
  14. Glad to have you aboard! We still have a long, long way to go. Patti said that she bought that hoodie for Ryan at one of the surf shops in Ft. Lauderdale earlier this year. She doesn't remember the brand name.
  15. Cruise Director Joey is helping out….. Here are some more Build-A-Bear Workshop views….. Patti steps outside and discovers that it’s warm enough now for people to be swimming in both the mid ship and aft pools….. Sean is laying down the Caribbean beat back by the Burano Pool….. To be continued…..
  16. Patti stops back at the cabin briefly where she finds today’s towel animal….. Music & Magic are performing in the Piazza San Marco….. This afternoon they are having the Build-A-Bear Workshop in the Limelight Lounge….. To be continued……
  17. Afterwards, they had an afternoon session of Deal or No Deal, so we went….. The first contestant was David V, and he chose Case # 9….. He plays the game down to the last two cases, and then says No Deal to the banker’s offer of $121….. He wins $250….. The second contestant is John W, but he sends his wife Mary to play for him…. She also plays the game down to the last two cases, and then says No Deal to the banker’s offer of $96….. She wins $150….. We wound up winning two bingo packages that Patti will use later in the cruise. To be continued…..
  18. Patti went to check out the La Strada Grill, which is located outside on Deck 5, across from the Gondola Lounge. It is only open on embarkation day and sea days from noon to 2:30pm….. To be continued…..
  19. Patti takes our table picture…. The first of our drinks has arrived….. They are giving out masquerade masks to anyone that needs one for later tonight….. The menu is the same one as last cruise….. Cruise Director Joey and Captain Crescenzo say a few words….. Patti had a Caesar salad, baked vegetable casserole, and the pear almond crostata…. I had the meat pies, bacon wrapped filet mignon, and chocolate decadence….. The drinks were flowing, the food was good, and a great time was had by all! To be continued…..
  20. They are joined onstage by the Shopping Expert Lionel…. After the show, Patti went to the Gondola Lounge to take some pictures of Tom & Jo, the dance instructors we had seen on our Hawaii cruise. They are such sweet people….. I had made my way down to the Lobby Bar where I met up with Rich, Charlie, Kathy, and Janice. Patti took this shot from up on Deck 5…… Valentina took this picture of our whole group….. Looking over at Guest Services, for some reason the line there is very long….. At 11am the group heads to the Marco Polo Restaurant for the Diamond Lunch….. To be continued…..
