This topics seems to make clear that my Select Dining time/restaurant reservations for Edge next month won’t be honoured. I had already diligently made them before I read this thread. 
 

To add to the confusion I got an email from Celebrity actively encouraging me to make them this week.  Whilst the email is no substitute for people’s real experiences, it does seem extraordinary to me that Celebrity would encourage me to use a system that doesn’t work. Allowing me to make them off my own initiative is one thing, but to email me to do it, whilst experiences of others indicates it’s a waste of time, takes the term “glitch” to a whole new level! 
 

To be clear, we will be on a ship, not a work laptop in sight, and I’ve no doubt we will be well fed (albeit perhaps not at our preferred time lol) and that we will have a ball, so I’m not at all worried but I did think I’d share the email in case it adds something to the thread.  
 

Thanks again for thoughts. We’ve booked both and are looking forward to seeing how it goes!

The Eden plant based menu is one of two tasting menus which are separate from the standard menu. I don’t see it talked about often so it may not be offered frequently. The standard menu was dumbed down mid-2022 to make it like any other restaurant so make sure you are looking at the correct one..

As to a dumbed down menu, this is what I found in Celebrity’s website. Does anyone know if it’s current please? 

Apologies if I’m repeating, or asking an obvious, question but I’ve had little luck with the search function.  Travelling on an Edge in New Zealand in Feb and thinking of trying to book both these restaurants for a dinner. 
 

1. I assume the garden grill is all open air. If the weather is awful on our chosen evening, I assume the grill reservation would be cancelled, refunded and we just have to eat in an alternative venue. Assumptions can be a bad idea though so might someone be able to advise please ? 

2.  Eden appears to have a plant based and meat based menu. Are both available each evening please?

At any time prior to 48 hours before sailing you can cancel by going to order history and simply select cancel.  It will be refunded to original form of payment. 
 

Once on the ship you can cancel either in person or in the app up until  24 hours before reservation. 

If cancelled on the ship will be credited as a NR Credit if booked with NR Refunanle OBC or a refundable credit if on cc.

Specialty dining reservations an be cancelled with a refund if done ahead of time.

I’m not sure of timing but think it is 48 hours ahead.  Someone else will know the exact timing.

We are fairly new to cruising and Celebrity so I'm looking for some guidance from kind souls who have more experience 🙂

Sailing on Edge in Feb and if I book individual specialty dining slots, I cannot see if they refundable.  I've tried searching the T&C's but they all seem to relate to the cruise itself.  I can see that "packages" seem NOT to be refundable but I am not sure if the term "package" applies to say a booking in Eden for dinner on Day 6.  I'm sorry this such a boring and obvious topic for all experienced cruisers but I was thinking of scheduling the dining now, in case it sells out, but clearly much of the trip is not yet planned so it is possible I would need to cancel/try to move a dining slot at a later date.

While I have your kind attention, if I understand correctly, Edge has 1 MDR but it is split into 4 different zones with separate menus, so even if we cannot get any speciality dining, we can still have a slightly different dining experience each night in theory.  Do I have that right please?

Hi...there is a Hampton at Waterloo. I assume you can use Hilton points but I don't know! If not, it's a sensible price for London. Good location within walking distance of Waterloo station and a nice stroll (a lot along the Thames) to the Eye. Refurbished rooms, great staff and good choice at buffet breakfast.:p Just a thought. :p

I have read this entire thread and learned an enormous amount - from what you think the new cruise terminal will be called, to your age (MUCH younger than I expected, just goes to show you never should judge a book by its cover :-) ) and I assume you like Green Day! I have also discovered the Nathus (which I think is the Danish Resistance museum) is closed due to fire and there is a Sand Festival on when we visit on Thursday 22/8.

Your patience appears endless and your help is undoubtedly invaluable. Your family must be very proud of you and you are, as many others have said, a great ambassador for Denmark. I am therefore encouraged to ask my questions. They are pretty detailed (I like to plan!) but I've not found the info in the thread. I hope you don't mind indulging me as you have hundreds of visitors before me.

We will only be in Copenhagen from 8-4pm and we dock at C190 Langelinie. I know we have to walk to Indiakaj to catch the 26 bus.

1. Which side of the road will the bus be on please? (I think it will be side closest to Langelinie as from Google maps I can only find one bus shelter!)

2. The bus into the city will be marked Alholms Plads. Correct?

3. There are 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 13. It will cost us DKK 72 and I can pay DKK on the bus (but no notes bigger than 100 DKK). Correct?

4. I want to get off near Radhuspladsen/Tivoli. Is there anything I can look out for to make sure we get off at the right stop please?

5. We then have a choice - visit Tivoli which I think my children will enjoy or talk a leisurely stroll back (using Rick Steve's guide book) to the ship - taking in the sights with ice-cream, coffee etc. I'm wondering if we take the Tivoli option, do you think 4 hours will be enough time there? Assuming we arrive at Tivoli by 10 (I'm not sure how long it will take to get off the ship!) I would like to leave by 2 to make sure we catch the bus and are back at the ship in good time. Is 4 hours enough or it is likely the queues will be so long we won't get to ride much do you think?

6. If we take the bus back we need to pick up the 26 again at a cost of DKK72. Correct? Will the bus be marked Indiakaj?

7. Do you know if free wi-fi is readily available in cafes etc in Copenhagen? I'm not bothered about keeping in touch (I'm on holiday and escaping the routine after all!) but my children might appreciate it! :-)

I hope that's not making me sound very controlling - I like the detail before I travel so I can relax while I'm there! :-)

The zoo isn't really unique and it's a bit far away from the city centre. How old are your children?

Hi! My first posting here - hope I've got it right! :-)

Visiting in August for the day, as part of a Carnival Baltic cruise. It will be a Sunday and we should dock from 8am to 6pm. I think we will berth at the West Harbour. I think we can walk into the city centre in about 30 mins - is that right? Having read the threads, I'm going to get everyone to try reindeer! Apart from that is there anything in particular we should do with the children - rather than the standard sights. My husband and I would be happy to wander but the children would appreciate a little more structure to their day! Perhaps the zoo although not sure that will give a flavour that is unique to Finland....
