  1. Add me to the list of happy flip phone users.  So many are addicted to their smart phones and are constantly bent over reading/replying to a email or text.  Have you ever been behind someone who is attempting to drive while checking/answering emaits/texts?  Whats so important that you have to immediately read and respond to it while driving?  Most importantly, I dont want to be monitored or tracked by big brother.  Great to hear I can cruise without a smart phone!

  2. My wife and I have an April 2024 ocean view balcony booked on Wonder of the Seas, 7night Western Caribbean w/Coco Cay out of Port Canaveral.   I have been thinking about switching to the Enchanted Princess ocean view balcony 7 night Western 1 wk later than Wonder but out of Port Everglades.  The ports are identical except Wonder has Coco Cay and Enchanted has Belize.  Enchanted is 55% less than Wonder.  I love the Oasis class ships and Coco Cay, but that is a huge difference!  Is Royal really worth that much more?

  3. My wife and I love the Oasis class ships!  We have sailed on both the Oasis of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas.  On Harmony I booked an ocean view balcony room on deck 6 aft, cabin #6286.  Not too far from the elevator.  This turned out to be our favorite cabin ever.  It was a great location with quick access to the Boardwalk/Aquatheater/walking track on deck 6, Promenade deck 5, Central Park deck 8 and dining room.  Whenever we needed to go to the front of the ship to the Windjammer, Theater or the Solarium we walked up the stairs to deck 8 and then walked through Central Park to the forward elevator.  Central Park is awesome at night!  We also really enjoyed our balcony as we felt we were really close to the ocean and saw a lot of sea life.  Great location!  We are now booked on the Wonder of the Seas deck 6 aft next Spring.  Enjoy your cruise!  Tip-try the Solarium for dinner.

  4. I will take the OBC from the "big box" store in the form of a store card any-day vs a credit to be used on the ship!  In addition to the 2% rebate at the end of the year.  Since the big box retailer makes a 14% margin on what they sell , my $200 credit goes alot farther than it would if I have to use it onboard where who knows how high the margins are on drinks, excursions, store merchandise etc. on ship.

  5. Hi Nano, we just returned on Harmony of the Seas yesterday and were on Coco Cay last Monday.  It really over delivered our expectations!  We spent about 5 hours (morning) on the island and did not experience any large crowds.  We got off the ship early and took the tram to South Beach.  We had an incredible time walking on the sand bar out into the water about 100+ yards.  We saw all kinds of marine life, even a large stingray close by!  We then headed to the swimming pool which is so large that even if crowded there is so much room to swim it did not bother us.  All and all we had an awesome time on Coco Cay and did not spend a penny.  It was a great way to start our trip!

  6. I know exactly what Ocruisers & numtini & Shmoo are talking about.  Because of the awesome kids clubs on DCL ships, there are only a few areas on the ship that have alot of kids.  We are HUGE Disney fans, that is why we cruise on Disney ships, that and the #1 private island Castaway Cay!  Twodaywonder, what are you doing on the Disney board if you are not a huge Disney fan and don't see the value of sailing on their ships?
