  1. If you do a standard one week fare and book a Balcony and use the 50% off second passenger - doesn't it about come out the same as a 2 Category Upgrade from inside to Balcony?

It is a better value for the 50% off 2nd passenger if you are interested in a Suite....

  2. It is easy to find a cab driver who will take you on a short tour to Lindos (and back) when you dock near the old town. Be sure to negotiate the price in advance. Lindos is quite picturesque -- but if I had to choose, the old part of Rhodes is more interesting IMO.

Did the cab driver take you to any pottery or jewelry stores? The first time we did Rhodes this happened. The second time we just rented a car - easier cheaper and no unnecessary stops.

  3. Couldn't agree more!! We loved the Old Radisson... One of the great things in the dining room on Azamara is the waiters can actually pour your wine so your not waiting and waiting for a refill, gee what a thought waiters can pour wine...

Where is the Like Button on Cruisecritic?

  4. Wow this is really complicated! I would like to keep it simple. So I go to the bar and want a Finlandia (it's fine no complaints from me) dirty martini - this is on the "basic" plan? Unless the vermouth they choose is an upsell and i forget to say house basic standard please don't over charge me on the vernouth this might translate to an up charge? What if I did the same and said I really like Grey Goose, may I please have a Grey Goose Dirty Martini and please don't up charge me on the vermouth - what am I looking at for an up charge? $4 for the Grey Goose? If I plan ahead, I can cover $4 up charges on a $5000 cruise for two.

  5. So If I upgrade to the $18.95 package per day - The Ultimate - I wont have to deal with the silliness of the cheat sheets and the stress - I could just order up anything, anything at all????

I have a lot of OBC for my May 2015 Voyage - this might be money well spent unless this gets sorted out before then. Love this thread - well put together by the Original Poster.

  6. On the Complimentary Beverages Page of the ACC Site it indicates "Martini" under Cocktails and Long Drinks. So is that just a Vodka or Gin Martini? Although it seems you can get a Cosmo (if you ask the right bartender or if you give them a recipe and not call it a Cosmo), seems like a Vodka Martini would have more alcohol than a Cosmo - there has to be room for the splash of cranberry and a few squeezes of lime :)

  7. (Long time Regent Cruiser - First time Azamara Cruiser)

I enjoy a Cosmo before dinner and a Sambucca after dinner. I can't find these listed on the liquor menu/packages so curious if they're available ?

    Thanks.

    I love Cosmos too!

  8. I am looking forward to the UDP on our upcoming Jade Cruise which is 7 nights and the package is $119 pp. It is a really good deal. I am familiar with the restaurants except Moderno, which is new since we were on last on NCL (2010). I am very impressed by the specialty restaurants on NCL - the higher priced ones like Le Bistro, Cagney's, and Teppanyaki. Looking forward to 7 nights of specialty restaurants every night - all booked and ready to eat :)
