  1. I'll try to get it done in the next few days but if you think of something specific you want to know let me know.

Thanks so much for the review, we are on the May 27th sailing. One question - in aqua class is there a hand held hair dryer or the one on the wall?

I just need to know if I should bring my own.

    Thanks!

  2. All reputable tour operators will make sure you are back on time. If there are say 20 or 30 from your ship on the tour they can simply radio the Solstace and they would wait a few minutes. I would be asking the tour operator the questions you are asking us. How many people? Let them know you are on a cruise ship. Look at Trip Advisor to check them out and be sure to get on the roll call for your ship to see about possible alternatives already organized.

In 20 cruises you have never tendered? Amazing. You also absolutely know it takes a while and if people arrive back to the dock late the ship is going to leave late.

Get on the phone and talk to the operator. It either will feel good or not.

I've tendered lots of times, I never booked an excursion with the cruise line. Always booked independently. Thanks!

  3. IN JUNEAU I've never done an excursion with the cruise line before and I've been on at least 20 cruises. I'm concerned in Juneau, we have to tender - arriving at 1:30pm and departing at 10pm. I'm reading that the tender process take a while. Is this excursion like "herding cattle"? How big/many people on the whale watching boat? I thought about the Marv whale watching that departs the dock at 4:20pm and gets back around 9pm. AM I safe to get off the ship in time and back for the last tender in time or do I go with the cruise ship excursion? Please help!!!

  5. Self disembark and you should be ok. Best case scenario, you're looking at 40 minutes from port to airport. I would give it an hour though because there are some "pockets" of construction.

If you're nervous, you can try to change to a later flight.

Next flight on Delta leaves at at 6:05pm and arrives home the next day - that makes a LONG night to end a nice vacation and it will cost a 300.00 change fee. I hope I make it!!

  6. For those of you that will be on this cruise, I just received the following email from my TA:

"We have just received the following Itinerary Change in regards to your upcoming Celebrity Solstice sailing. The arrival time into Seattle, Washington has changed from 7:00am to 8:00am."

It is only a difference of one hour but will affect pick up times at the terminal.

We have a 12:15pm flight time leaving Seattle, I hope we make it!!! Any good advise?

  7. We are sailing on the Adventure of the Seas, arriving Jan 10th. Will we be docking at the Mega Pier? I just reserved my car there and want to make sure I know what I'm doing. If this is correct will we see the rental booth once we get off of the ship?

    Thanks

  8. Hi,

I've read several posts about car rentals but I'm still confused. I would like to rent a car at the pier and go to the West side beaches. We dock at 8am and sail at 6pm. If we rent the car at 9:30am and return it by 5pm will this give us enough 'fun' time to be able to explore, relax on the beaches and return to drop the car off. I read there's construction and that the West side is a long distance from the pier. We're going to be on the Adventure of the Seas arriving on Jan. 10th (a Friday). Please give me your thoughts.

    Thanks so much!
