Hi, does your 5% OBC show on your booking in £ or $? Mine is in $ and therefore, because of the exchange rate, is considerably less than 5%. My TA is chasing Azamara but not having much success in getting it rectified.

I also received this 5% OBC offer. My TA confirmed with Azamara that it could be used for the cruise I was paying for and the amount would be £352. Yes it showed up in my booking online immediately BUT as $352. At today’s exchange rate I’m losing out by £77. Azamara’s IT department are apparently on the case but I’m not holding my breath. Just a warning to other Brits.

This was the reason I asked the initial question. I hadn’t realised that when buying a Speciality Dinning Package pre cruise you couldn’t make restaurant reservations pre cruise. The advice from a friend was to get on board as early as possible and head straight for the reservation desk!!

Thank you all for your insight into embarkation. The moral appears to be book a Suite, we haven’t, try to avoid Civitavecchia, we haven’t and take plenty of refreshments!! I’m not sure it will be a relaxing start to the cruise but I’m very much looking forward to it.

We have a cruise booked in October that is sailing out of Rome (Civitavecchia) at 17:30. Generally what is the earliest time you can board the ship?
