I am currently on it and I have absolutely no complaints about my accommodations .

We're sailing on her soon. Trying to decide on drink package or not.  I don't drink alcohol, my hubby does. Do you know the price of individual average beer, water and coffee from al bacio?  Thanks so much

We sailed on Apex in the Baltic last July and the buffet was excellent. We usually only eat there at breakfast and lunch. However the MDR’s were disappointing ( limited choices with few options that appealed) so often dined at the buffet in the evening.

We were on the Apex in April.  Each of the 4 MDRs are a different theme and type of food (Italian, French, etc) with 6 or more offerings in each.  You can order food from any other of the 4 restaurants or mix and match (appetizer, special drink, entree, dessert, etc).  Just look at all the menus on your app ahead of time.

Is there one on the Connie ?

Yes, I googled it and found this:

    Cafe Al Bacio Location

Celebrity Constellation Cafe Al Bacio is located on Entertainment (deck).

We loved Al Bacio on the Apex recently and went there every afternoon for a treat and tea or coffee.

  4. We tried each of the 4 dining rooms and chose our favorite for ambiance and wait staff.  All of them are fine dining, each with a different theme.  Each night we looked at the specials (including desserts and specialty drinks) from each of the other 3 to pick and choose what we ordered.  They will also modify items. I had the spaghetti bologna's sauce on penne one night as the penne offerings too rich.  delicious.  All of the pasta is handmade.  This was on Apex.

Sailing on Apex in September and because this will be my last cruise on an Edge class ship (no haters - going back to M class where I belong 🤣), I want to dine on Edge.  So with the sale on I went and booked it even though is gave me a reservation day of embarkation at 10:00 a.m.

I'm assuming that they will inform us once onboard what day and time this event might take place.  Can someone confirm that please?

I love all the details of  your review.. We will  be on the June 25 sailing of this cruise.  How did you like Tivoli?  Was it worth the time and money? I've heard good and bad.  What all did you do there?

I'd lov veto hear your take on Edge class vs. M.  It's good to hear various perspectives. We've only been on Solstice and Apex is coming up.

    Thanks!

I received the same email today for our cruise departing June 18 from Rotterdam. The half off prices are much more palatable. My guess is the "select guests" are anyone with a reservation.

We're on this cruise too.  I know there have been posts about IV verses Concierge, but I'm still debating and $100.00 pp might send me there, but what is the consensus or your thoughts about moving up to concierge?  Thanks!

We did an upgrade last week and depending where you were, you could send photos.  Many of our emails could not be sent with attached photos.  FaceTime did not perform well with the Premium Plan.

What was the difference in cost? Basic is included in my package, ($20 per day) and upgraded is $35pd, do we just pay the difference?  and per person or per cabin?  Thanks!

Or book on your own.  Just make sure your excursion gets you back to the ship in PLENTY OF TIME BEFORE IT LEAVES.  PS - you probably will save money doing it on your own.

We’ve always done our own and saved a lot of money. There are usually fewer people too. Don’t worry, private companies WILL get you back in time, their business depends on it.

  10. I booked 2 weeks ago, through celebrity, for a cruise to Norway in June. I now see they signed me up for their travel insurance. Is it as good a one I can get elsewhere? Should I change it? And can it cover my flights and before and after travel? I called and the guy wasn’t very helpful.  This is the first time I haven’t used a TA for cruise travel. Thanks

We took the HOHO bus that stops at the cruise port.

How did you like the HOHO? Was there an audio tour?  Did it have all the important stops?  Were the Hop On points convenient?  Thanks you for the information!

  12. Hi,

We're sailing on the Apex in June.  Can't wait!

I'm really confused about the different Veranda types on Celebrity Apex. We booked an Infinite Veranda, but I see there is also a Sunset Veranda and another type?  Can anyone enlighten me?

    Thanks,

    Debbie

I’m excited to start my journey to Budapest, flight departs on Monday 9 August and cruise departs (fingers crossed!) the next day.

Plan to get tested on 3 separate days, just trying to make sure I have the 72-hour window limit covered while assuming the Sunday before my departure can slow down processing.

Just this second got notification from higher up in my TA’s hierarchy that my Uniworld Highlights of Eastern Europe cruise is a GO! They are currently physically at the Uniworld booth at a trade show…..

Glad you finally got confirmation. Pretty anxiety provoking, having to wait until the last minute for confirmation, huh?  What do you hear about Americans being allowed in Budapest?  We are sailing Passau to Budapest 2 weeks after you on Uniworld.  We want to stay in Budapest afterward for a few days but it looks restricted to Americans.

Tuesday will mark the 2-week period before my 10 August Highlights of Eastern Europe cruise is scheduled to embark in Budapest for a 10-day cruise to Bucharest. I’m trying to get a feeling for whether my cruise is destined to sail or not. Hungary still doesn’t accept US citizens, but perhaps that could change…… Or, perhaps Uniworld will reroute the embarkation city to a more welcoming location…..

Are Uniworld boats currently sailing? I read in several CC threads that they tend to quietly cancel cruises about 2 weeks before scheduled date….

    Sigh.

We're taking that cruise 2 weeks after you are.  Can you post here if you get any information from them?
