It definitely is the day at sea, it was the same for when the ship was in Dubai.

We get off in Barcelona too, so not sure what we are going to do, especially given they will want our suit cases to move.

Usually the suitcases go out at night after you get back to your room.  I admit it will be inconvenient but it certainly is doable.  Or walk off the ship with your suitcases.

    Hi,

I thought I'd put in here, before going to MSC. Usually get a response much quicker here. We have a cruise in 20 days and although all my information has been provided, I can't see any sort of e-ticket that I can access. Here is what I see:

After pressing Go to Web Check-in, it then displays with this, despite me adding a Credit Card on that will be used:

Finally, this is what I see, even though I have filled in everything:

There feels like there's no option to select the passengers to select to web check in, and get sent the e-tickets.

Anyone else had these sort of issues, or any idea how to fix this?

I eventually found my cruise papers in my spam mail.

Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

I think the short 3 and 4 day cruises might be like Carnival cruises because MSC decided not to sell drink packages on those cruises.

I should say they are trying to keep them from becoming like Carnival cruises.

I have a 4 night booked in November on the Seaside and we have the drink package.  Not sure why you think they are not offering drink package.

We did a YCI on Meraviglia back in November and loved it!  I'm beginning to think that YCI is the only category I will book moving forward.  We have one on the Seaside in June.  They are smaller than the balcony rooms but the YC public spaces are expansive and you can always find a nice quiet place to relax.  I really love the dark room and the fact to it seems to cool much faster than a balcony room.

My nice quiet place to relax is my balcony looking out at the ocean.  I would go crazy in an inside cabin.  To me part of the fun of cruising is the people.  It’s definitely preference.  What’s important to me may not be important to you.

  5. When I joined Voyagers Club I received $50 usd in non refundable shipboard credit.  I recently checked my cruise info and it now says I also have shipboard credit $50 eur/usd -40 Gbp.  Does anyone know what this means?  I would call but customer service might screw up my original obc and I could end up with nothing.  They aren’t very knowledgeable.

Hello everyone we are Ken and Kelley getting onboard may 12. Hopefully will be available to get onboard earlier than the 2 pm scheduled arrival time.
we hope everyone has a fantastic time and great weather

We have a boarding time of 3pm.  It was originally 12.  Hoping it changes before May 12.

  7. We are looking into connecting cabins on the Seaside.  My question is, will MSC open the partition between the two balconies.  I have heard of it being done, but can’t remember which cruise line.

You are really asking this question?

Thanks to the service charge MSC can advertise a cruise with € 399 while the real price is € 489. Again, apart from Americans the service charge cannot be removed, changed, whatever.

All cruise lines have a service charge besides the price for the cruise alone.  At least in the US

From a european point of view, service charge and tipping are not really the same thing. A service charge (wether included in or added to the price)   is payed as a fee for the received service, an additional tip is given as a reward for good service.

The service charge is the tip, no after what you call it.

You need to understand that MSC is a European cruise line where things go different. Read the MSC webpage. The staff gets a decent salary and does not rely on your tips. Secondly only American guests can remove the gratuities and they usually don´t do. Certainly you can add a personal tip, but do it discreet and if possible not in an insulting manner.

If the staff is getting a decent wage, why do you think a service charge is tacked on to our daily bill on MSC?  We are going on a Mediterranean cruise, nothing to do with Americans, and still paying the service charge. I would never think to not tip.
