The livery isn't really about whether we like it or when we see it as passengers - it's an exercise in branding. To the car analogy - we don't see the emblems/logos/nameplates on the outside of a car while driving but the automakers put them there for a reason, a branding reason.

Colo Cruiser wrote: "Of course it's no deal. I have said this all along. Nothing is for free..."
Agree! I amazed how many people think "free shipping" is free when one is just paying for it in the pricing. After all, $100 with "free shipping" is the same as $80 plus $20 shipping.

...do recall hot towels many years ago, or maybe that was on an airline... don't see them anymore either, given the state of airline travel.
Airline first class still has hot towels. For the price difference they better be awfully nice little hot towels... [emoji6]

Yeah, nothing makes my day like a finger bowl. But it has to have the right amount of lemon or the whole thing is ruined.
Agreed . . . It always tastes better with the right amount of lemon . . . 🤣

They just added it to the Pacific Princess. A smaller version, of course...

Thanks to everyone for taking time to read and comment. Now it is time for me to get another cruise booked.
Wishing everyone smooth sailing.

Thanks for letting all of us go on your wonderful journey with you through your very interesting and informative photo review! Great info, great photos, great stories, and a great read!
And some excellent thoughts at the end for those of us yet to take a Princess HI cruise. We were booked to take your very cruise the turn just before yours but had to cancel. We are now booked on the same itinerary for a future April in, as always, the too distant future...
Thanks again and may your next, and all your future cruises, be at least as relaxing and enjoyable as this one seemed to be.
P.S. And a great photo to "sign off" with!

And we hope before you close out your great review you'll provide your comments/thoughts on the ship, her condition, etc. (Know you posted one "buckets" photo earlier....)
Those of us who have cruised her before, have her booked for a future cruise, and have read about the many problems (water leaks and buckets, overflowing toilets, non-working a/c units, etc., etc.) wonder what of all that is true and what is more of an "embellishment."
Thanks!

That worked! Thanks!

It is another lazy sea day. One of the activities is decorating skull masks. I made an attempt at the first session, and it was tipped over and smeared by the cabin steward as it was drying, so I tried again at the afternoon session. By then, the markers were dried out and some of the masks were cracked with the coating peeling off. It was probably my first art project since kindergarten, so that's why it looks like a 5 year old did it.
So if you want to attempt this project, go to the first session when the materials are new.

Hey, these look much nicer than a five-year-old's project - and waaaay better than I could ever do (even when I WAS five...)!

Didn't even know Mazatlan has a Marriott.

Oops. My question was meant to be about PV. Dumb me...wrong port, wrong thread, just plain wrong... [emoji15]

There are so many items I do not want to see go away and I'm to pick one??'
That's part of the fun - and the challenge - of the question... [emoji1]

We will be boarding her on January 22, 2018 for the world cruise.

Our daughter and hubby also live in Litchfield Park...we could come visit them and then hide out in your luggage when you board for your world cruise! [emoji6]

Good evening from Palmdale Ca. I just wanted to let everyone know that I've got some pictures up on my flickr site. So far the Cruise Log, Princess Patters, Ship Pictures and San Pedro pre cruise pictures are up. Here is the link. The rest might take me a bit because of work commitments. My review might also take a little while also to complete.....:):):)

Welcome home! Your photos look terrific! Thanks!

She's heading to dry dock. If there's someone else in the cabin now, it's a likely a maintenance worker. Oh wait, Bob had a suite ... I suppose it would be the boss.
Or since it was an OS perhaps it is the boss' boss... [emoji6]

We had a great thread not too long ago with lots of interesting comments on if you had a magic wand what is the one thing you would like Princess to change...
So let's try the reverse: if you had a magic wand what is the one thing you hope Princess never changes, eliminates, etc.?
I'll bet there are lots of interesting thoughts out there...

Sitting at the terminal gate waiting to board our flight home. Wish I was still aboard the Pacific Princess.....:):):)
Bob
Yes, I see it's headed off for the Bahamas. And likely with someone else in "your" cabin.
How so very rude of them... [emoji26]
Safe travels back home to the land of less water...

Thanks again for the great "live from" report! A Panama Canal cruise is on our "someday list" so it was really great to read along!
You and Holli have a safe and uneventful flight home and tons of great memories after you get there.

The higher the better regarding aft vibrations. We were aft on deck 6 and it was bearable but won't do it again.
We were on deck 6 in an OS for a 10-day French Polynesia cruise and had no vibration at all. Guess the generally slow going from relatively close island to island makes all the difference.

We were on the Grand a few years ago and since have read posts/reviews saying her condition has declined (water leaks dripping into buckets in the hallways, toilets not working, a/c not working, etc., etc., etc.).
But some others say she's fine and you can always find something if you want to (true). After all, it's a ship constantly in use and being attacked by the weather and the sea, etc.
How are you finding her condition? We were booked booked on her for the April 8, 2017 HI cruise but had to cancel. We're now booked on her for an April 2019 cruise (as we're doing another one in between).
Thanks!

A reminder that this cruise is on it's way to ending is we got our disembarkation questioner yesterday.
Ahhh, don t you just hate that - do they really have to get you thinking about it being over already... [emoji26]
My least favorite part of a cruise: the last day as all I seem to do is think with everything I do "and this is the last time I'll..."
My second least favorite: the dreaded disembarkation questionnaire because that means the above is on its way... [emoji26] [emoji26]
But hopefully you and Holli can overcome it all and keep enjoying!!!

Haven't looked at it yet, but I'll check.....:):):)
Bob
If tell ya all about it but I wouldn't want to spoil the endings... [emoji6]

Yup, 17 day full transit from San Pedro to Ft. Lauderdale.....:):):)

Saw "Wavelets" used today.....:):):)

One of my life goals is to NOT make wavelets when I get into a tub or pool... [emoji1]
