  1. Advice needed--as we will have a plan (generously provided for us by family) for two devices BUT only need on one device; and traveling with a family who is purchasing plan for one device (but need two). So, if we give them our extra access code, they will have two devices, and we will have one- to keep in touch with everyone? Expensive- but so worth it to keep track of us all! RIGHT?

  2. No advice here, just experienced something similar on the Breeze, last month. Thankful I had packed a thermometer and proper meds. Hubby ran about 102*, once- with aches, chills, diarrhea and stomach upset. Nasty stuff. It lasted about 2-3 days, I never got it, thankfully, and since he got sick at the end of cruise- we were able to enjoy our planned excursions, and very glad that he was better for the drive back home. He quarantined himself, and it was rumored that that many got sick on the ship. I'm sure it's common, it happens, it just never happened to us, like that, before. Sinus or cold symptoms, while cruising, yes-every time I think- but Noro symptoms- no. Here's to packing and planning ahead! Funny, I always bring hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, and Lysol- but this last time, it never even occurred to me to USE any of it! I bet I won't forget next time!

  3. We've cruised to these places, but that was more than one cruise. Cruised to Belize three times now; Grand Cayman twice, Roatan, three times, and Cozumel- multiple times...

    Booked all excursions through the Cruise Lines;

    Roatan, once we rode horses on the beach- that was nice; but a swim with dolphins at Anthony's Key Resort- (yr 2000), was the BEST. Recently, Mahogany Bay- $25 through Carnival covers TWO people for the chair lift, clam shell (?) tent with two lounge chairs, and two floats for the water. VERY NICE! Enjoyed our cheap beach day, very much!

    Belize- we have snorkeled with nurse sharks and rays. Lots of fun, also went cave tubing once. This last time we took a city tour-suppose to be 1.5 hrs- turned into 3 or 4, but it was nice.

    Cozumel, favorite thing was parasailing. Also "Encountered" dolphins once, a sea trek helmet dive thing once, on the ocean floor. We planned nothing at all this last time-and had no regrets.

    Grand Cayman-Bus tour, Turtle Farm and Sting Rays (Sting Rays LOTS OF FUN). Disappointed that there aren't more excursion options here. I want to try a new adventure in Grand Cayman. We'll see....

  4. Thinking it doesn't really matter to us. Our cruise in November on the Breeze, cove balcony port side- was GREAT for watching the pier in Cozumel and Roatan. Usually the Breeze docks starboard in Galveston, but it changed direction this cruise, coming back in, so we watched us dock- and watched our luggage unload, from our balcony. We felt "lucky", and will probably choose port side again, depending on what's available and where (1st preference is a cove balcony, again, hopefully).

  5. We are hooked now on the cove, loved it and used it more than other regular balcony. Love that it is shaded and more "private". We love to cruise whenever, wherever we can. Do other cruise lines have coves? I wonder.....

  6. Just got off the Breeze Sunday. I took Cold Brew Tea bags (and bubba cups), which work well. I am very picky about tea, and the tea in the buffet (lido) wasn't as bad as I had remembered. Tea in the dinning room is good, though. At tea time on sea day, I asked for Iced tea. I like plain, unsweetened, fresh tea! Lipton Cold Brew tea bags-is good, and spoiled me from the brewing, right now, feeling pretty lazy after a GREAT (too short) cruise, last week!

  7. Just got back home on Sunday. We LOVED our COVE BALCONY. Used earplugs only because @3-4AM- some odd noise; otherwise VERY QUIET, and comfy. Cabin "seemed" smaller than usual (only right at the door), not sure why, but had PLENTY of space for all the clothes and odds and ends, luggage all fit under bed, and I brought WAY MORE than my share of luggage. I always do that...

    I never could find anything specific out there regarding this cabin. I hope this helps someone! Port side, enjoyed facing port in Cozumel, Roatan, and oddly enough- back in Galveston (it seems rare on the Galveston cameras?).... We also left two bottles of sparkling wine behind the TV, and suspect it will be removed by our cabin steward. She was great too, by the way. I can't remember her name at the moment..... We enjoyed a great cruise, with great weather. Over with and back home much too quickly, as always....

  8. Just off the Breeze on Sunday. I didn't see any "card" to check, but when we saw our room steward, I just simply initiated that once a day service was fine, at her convenience. She told us she would be in daily @1. This worked great for us. I only did this because of things I had read on Cruise Critics. Otherwise, I'm not sure how or what we would be asked to respond. We were very pleased with fresh ice, clean towels, etc. We also left an extra tip.

  9. I read we can pack up the tiny little coffee creamers, comes in a box, indiv servings, that doesn't need the fridge. We are doing that, this time. I'm picky about coffee- may just drink my tea or soda instead. We'll see.....

  10. I will be trying to think of some nice pre-packed snacks to bring- for "low sugar" issues; especially for excursions, "just in case". Never did that for our cruising before, didn't need to, but just want to be prepared this time as health issues are changing.... Hubby not a fan of nuts, looking for healthy-and yummy....

  11. So, has anyone ever used army type laundry bags, tagged and secured, in hallway with luggage, in case it wont all fit back in luggage? Using vac sealed bags going on, but coming back might might be more difficult to pack up. An extra empty laundry bag or two takes up little space, in case we need it, but, will Carnival allow this as "luggage"?

  12. I'm picky, and the tea in the "buffet" was never very good to me, and I would mix that with lemonade just to make it drinkable. I bring the Cold Brew tea bags, make it in my room, and have good iced tea, whenever I want some. Better for me than lots of soda, although we bring that too. I always way over pack and bring a sample of every "remedy" I can think of-for dry skin, to wrinkle release spray, oxy clean for stains-- I know the luggage stewards aren't too happy to see all of our luggage, for two people- I bring enough for a family of 4- UGH. Here I am picking up some ideas for even MORE things I need to pack for our upcoming cruise. So glad my hubby is a "good sport" about it all-LOL
