My husband and I have come down with COVID. We are due to sail on October 24th and we need to get testing in Rome before boarding the ship. What happens if we still test positive even though we have no symptoms, and are not infectious and it is 2 1/2 weeks after COVID, Does anyone know Celebrity's policy?

Get a Letter of recovery if you got tested at doctors .We used it to board in Southampton on Silhouette

As long as Cruise with Confidence applies (which it still does for yours), you can cancel up to 48 hours prior and get FCC for a future cruise.  If you test positive right before your sailing (not sure of the timeframe?) you can call and reschedule your cruise or get FCC I believe. In order to do that I think you will need more proof than a home test so if you decide to do that then get a proctored test somewhere.  Your timing, unfortunately, is right on the bubble so it is a very personal decision as to how to proceed.  Not sure what I would do if it were me - probably wait a day or two and then decide.  If you are significantly better, then perhaps I would still plan to go and test before I got on the plane.  Even if negative I would mask everywhere I went  If still positive I would just do the Cruise with Confidence.  Either way I would probably go get a proctored test right away in case I needed to show that for a last minute cancel.

Just very dry nostrils ,but feeling better every day. Don't leave till Thurs and cruise is on Monday.already had 2 negative tests one home and one at doctors office

By default, your booking o board is automatically transferred to the TA who booked your current Celebrity cruise that you are sailing on. However, you can always request to NOT transfer it to the TA (albeit signing a paper just like someone has mentioned above). Then the booking will belong to Celebrity. When you get home, you can still contact another TA that you like, and have this booking be transferred to them. As long as they do not change the booking number (which they don't), you will still get all of the OBC and whatever goodies promised when you  made that booking, plus probably additional goodies from this new TA.

Thanks for the info. My T/A is changing companies so I will request the paper to book through Celebrity at booking time and then transfer to T/A of my choice

It probably depends on the cruise.  I just upgraded ov to balcony 3 months before my cruise, no problems.  But pre-covid I requested an upgrade and was told they only have a certain number of upgrades available (they did find one tho).

Keep in mind that once you upgrade using points you might be locked out of any price adjustments.  And you can't undo the points upgrade.

I guess I am lucky because I upgraded from Ocean view to BF balcony after final payment. Cruise is on Getaway Feb 2

No cruising for dh and me next month.  Dh was denied an exemption for our September 26th cruise.  I was 99% sure he would be when I booked the cruise.  We have a family cruise booked for March of next year.  He's already agreed that if Carnival decides he can't go on that one either, we can go without him.  It will be weird-I've never cruised without him- but it's his decision to not get vaccinated.

You need a medical reason not to get vaccinated.,Even compromised people are getting vaccinated

I thought they were good at giving false *negatives*...everything I've read shows about a 0.4% chance of false positive.

Sorry, to be clear, I'm saying I agree with the OP...if you test positive, it most likely isn't a false positive...you have Covid. It's much more likely, tho, that you have covid and test negative...which is, unfortunately, bad 😞

My DH had Covid July 2020.It took 6 days post first symptom to get a test.We both tested Negative, but he had positive antibodies 6 weeks latter.

Good advice: If you want to avoid kids, choose an adult only cruise line - not a mainstream cruise line with promotions like "kids sails 4 free".. .

    Problem solved.

I cruised on HAL on a Southern Australia cruise this past January. There had to be at least 500 children on board. They did take up the entire pool under the retractable roof.Leaving the back pool for adults. It was so windy and cold that the pool was mostly empty.I wasn't going in any of the pools so didn't effect me at all
