Ship had a fire & lost power twice & lost it when it hit. No power, no steering & something that big you can't 🛑 remotely fast. 

Vision & Legend & Legend was due back 3/31 so where they are going now unknown & nothing on RCL & Carnival site! 

I just applied & it looks like 30k was added with approved card! I hope to build further for my b2b on Allure in September. I'll use the BA/Royal card to pay for Allure cruise to meet 1k fulfillment need! As others have said the 30k equals out to the OBC that you can transfer to active booking.

TY 4 the 5yr good for, knowledge. I bet my other pts were over the 5yr mark, so probably not worth following up w/BA to get those points back off the old card. Just build forward. TYA

From what I read Monday RCL is watching & constantly assessing in current time! RCL feels they keep you safe in the RCL compound area & ship! It has been noted it is 6 hard mountainous hours to get to the RCL Compound. All excursions outside of their area are canceled til further notice for everyone's safety! 

I am somewhat disabled & going solo. I'm seriously thinking of ambitious side by side B-day cruise of Allure to Indy in Sept. 24 in Miami & I'm going GS or above & 💎! Are the ships close or different terminal? How did you all handle all of your bags (3) & walker? Did you keep the bags & RCL help you get bags down & to a porter to a transfer service or cab? You sent them down & had to find them? You did latest self off?

I'm supposed to be on Escape in the Haven in September! I'm wondering if NCL has adopted Royal's luggage program of paying a fee & they get your luggage to the airport? I'm Flying in/out NYC/NJ. 

I'm going to be 4months recovered from hip revision surgery & by myself! Any insight would be helpful, TY! 

I'm am going to have a hip revision in May & supposed to be on NCL Escape mid September. I'm thinking I need a rollator. For us wonderful disabled ppl how is our luggage handled on disembarkation? Do we have to find our luggage ourselves & somehow get it to a porter? 

I'm 17 days out & I still don't have them & no letter! 1 email. I feel, because I booked elsewhere to get my cabin, because it was not in NCL inventory. They have ditched me off all Pre-Haven boarding stuff! I found my E'docs were ready by accident, no message. I had to chat, because 3x's attempts to get to my tags failed! Now I got a later time arrival, so back to Concierge to get that changed back! Too much extra work, never had this @ RCL!

Aye, 14178 and 14778 are the hidden gems of Norwegian Joy's Haven.  As I mentioned above, even if money were no object for me, I would not want any other Haven suite on board Joy other than one of those two.  The mid-ships location was especially handy the last full day of our cruise, an at-sea day when the ship was buffeted with heavy seas and high winds.  My wife and I barely felt it in 14778, but you can bet the folks in the Haven staterooms forward and three decks up sure did.

 

 

 

TY 4 the info & I picked 15126 which is the last suite in Haven closest to middle! I hope it's not bad on my N.E./Canda trip! Why, I'm not upgrading!

TY all for all the information! I'm about to go on my first Haven trip on Breakaway. Can someone let me know are the coffee pods regular coffee & decaf only? They don't offer flavored pods, like vanilla or mocha? Do they have tea pods? Just ask for a crafe of hot water for tea & cocca? I understand NCL doesn't have Stevia😥! 

Please can someone explain about NYC disembarkation & does the Haven have a specific spot to find your luggage downstairs or mixed in gen population? Since NCL doesn't have a luggage service to send checked/big bags to the airport 😥, unlike RCL, just priceless! I'm semi disabled/cane solo & I believe I'll need a form of help finding bags, getting a porter & then to NCL transfer bus to JFK airport, since we're coming back during the NYC Marathon. I'm assuming @ JFK ain't going to be a picnic of bus & walk to a porter?

Any help greatly appreciated. TY!

Unlike the Joy, I don't believe they retrofitted the BA with outside heater on the waterfront and/or deck deck for those chilly & cold days but I stand corrected, should someone recently on the BA can confirm otherwise.  

 

There has NEVER been (AFAIK) any kind of luggage transfer or forwarding services in NY, unlike port of Seattle and most definitely, none whatsoever this year (3 cruises out of Pier 88 ...)  There are porter services inside the cruise terminal to assist.  

 

The reservation desk onboard will have all the venue's menus available, and at least the specialty restaurants will have their menus shown on the stateroom's interactive TV ... the Norwegian App has been hit-n-miss as far as properly shown the menus.  On our 2 earlier cruises this year, they also have QR codes - changed out as appropriate for the MDR ... breakfast, dinner and lunch - to scan with your smartphone/iPhone, but not most recently last month on the Joy - for whatever reasons.  

 

If and when it rain, NCL will have for sale, those disposable rain poncho near the gangway as you exit to go ashore.  

TY for this info! A couple more questions maybe you know is their Stevia sugar onboard! In the gym I believe their is a vending machine is there sugarfree Gatorade & water, water+? By way does anyone know where the Gatorade falls into any of the drink packages? Yes, I'm  Breakaway 10/30, Haven.

Can some also discuss if NCL has a luggage disembarkation plan that you can pay a fee & have the bags sent to your departure airport? You have to go downstairs & find them? Is there a special Haven luggage area? TYIA

For inside should I pack T's & light 3qtr sleeve shirts/light pull overs! Many layers/jacket hat & gloves going outside!

I generally I sleep with fan on should I pack small night table fan & possible humidifier both battery backup drive run!

My thought; this is the new left side of Haven lunch/dinner menu & the Special Taste will be the new right side of the menu! With altering items on app's. desserts. 😃

Could they pretty please add in Raspberry & Zin vinaigrette for the salads!

TY so much for that beautiful letter! A great starting point for me! I'm trying hard to get my head wrapped around this lvl of srv. all it encompasses & how it works. I'm learning so much in a short time! 

If I understand correctly everyone is in one area to be processed through NYC  security & than I'd move over into Haven line! Are there restrooms in the waiting lounges? When does the security first start @ NYC? Might there possibly be a specific window of time for Haven pax to not get caught in these long lines? Just show up early. I just can't stand in a 3hr+ line! 

Brings the ptsd back of trying to get on Oasis in FL & thankfully I was Diamond, so no wait & looking @ all those faces of this stinks!
