Not sure why people think otherwise.

Well let's take notice. Rates to get a cabin through the roof. Drink Pkg up $10.00 day since Sept 18', I was able as a Diamond to get in Dia & up que for free, but now back to the regular line for u mobility challenged indv.; that line looked like hours long @ Port C., or pay $150 for the week to get this new perk. The Tips through the Roof for daily chg & beverage pkg. The food absolutely low quality & now a possible $10 plate fee if you order extra food. Are u kidding me. Ontop of all these fees U have been charged they still want u to tip ur staff! U have to pay for those rides & mats & stuff @ the island they built, honestly I feel it absolutely encourageable that this is not included in the cruise fare that you paid for. For a single indv that had to pay 2 fares this is down right distgusting. Not to mention indv pays 10 to 20% more for a cabin & all pkgs listed, because they are all geared to 2+! Welcome to the Nickle & Diming 2019 money grab heist. This will be my last cruise if I even go!

  2. 1) I haven't cruised since last Sept & my 1st on a Oasis class on Ms. O @ Port Canaveral. Right out of the box my synopsis is the main line was way out the freaking door & thankfully this mobility challenge indv doesn't have go through that line. I ask is their still the Diamond & up other line or has The Key & Expedient Arrival is now Trumping that whole old way? Back to the main line u go.

    2) I am thinking about the key because it includes 1wifi. Have they oversold & actually getting lunch has not worked do to space?

    3) Can a Diamond or up tell me if one of the benfits is a 30% discount or discount of DX Bev Pkg onboard?

Thanks for any helpful insight on these items.

    Happy cruising.

I think about the following things in regard to tipping on a cruise ship:

    1. Tipping is an American custom and is not common in much of the world.

    2. The cruise ship business is an international business with an international work force.

Thanks 4 reminding us of this & since RCI is making a mandatory daily charge $$. That's all they'll get from me & I used to tip them all well, not to mention why do I have to pay for waitstaff that I never used.

Should also bill him for any expenses regarding his rescue.

Any couseling for paxs that were on that side to see this idiots thrill seeking prank! He is beyond lucky that it was deep enough & no rocks! It would really have sucked for him if his legs went into the bottom with force & broke the body in 2! Good job on Royal for banning them.

  5. I believe if you fold your napkin in a triangle with the point to the edge of the table they (royal WJ staff) will leave your plate alone. Ask when you see a head watier supervisor but that was what I was told on EOS last summer.
Nope they removed everything on the table as recently as an hour ago, trying that tactic! I was going to speak to the manager and see, but I am not to sure he understands English all that well, and I had better things to do like getting a frozen drink!

Just to keep the peanut gallery updated! The room service fee is now $9:38 which it was removed from my account! I have since had a lovely dinner and breakfast conversations with 2 couples! In fact I offered a couple to join me for breakfast this am, because there were not empty tables & we had a lovely breakfast & conversation! I saw them in passing later & maybe I"ll see them at I fly, peanut gallery your comments are not warranted or founded, so maybe you should be a little less quick to judge!! This hide behind the keyboard crap needs to stop!

    Have a great time cruising!

  6. When you are living with mobility challenges you'll understand! It has been really difficult traveling solo with a cane in one hand & trying to get food & drink! Thank goodness for the Solarium bistro! I couldn't even get a table at WJ the other day or park cafe today! I was stuffed into a small corner table that was about nearly impossible to get in & out of at the MDR! Yeah it is hard! Try it sometime and maybe you'll will be a little more helpful, supportive or just maybe you'll see someone on a cane say hi we have an extra chair go get some food and come sit, 4 days in not one person has offered that! No wonder why I can't stand people! Thank goodness for the best dog ever!

I spoke to GS about the charge & they didn't give a flying you know what!

I called Room Service back and said calmly that they should come collect the food and try it! They said they send someone & remove the charge!

I am not picky, but when something says it should have chicken it then it should be so, & pasta is pretty inedible if not cooked properly! The carrots were raw in the soup & noodles barely cooked!

We all have choices and mine is that my cruising days on Royal OVER, and that lake house is looking pretty good!

  7. My 'cool box' served me well back in 2006 on Mariner of the Seas.2066a4b9082a57e5a7a1800accb443ca.jpg

Oasis is a bit different & smaller! I believe I had one of those on Vision, Brillance & Liberty & it was stocked with bud light & wine!

I am using the pint bags! I need cold water with all this high heat & 85% humidity! That just me!

  8. I am on Oasis currently & the cold box is so small It can't fit the ice bucket, which I have done in the past to cool the box down with great success, and adding some beer, wine & snacks! I am using my zip lock bags & filling them with ice, and trying to cool it down with extremely low luck success; might I add! I might suggest to everyone pack extra zip log bags! This stinks! Maybe when Oasis goes into dry dock they'll change them out for much current functioning ice boxes! One can only hope! This in Royal is the worst I have experienced!

  9. It appeared buying on the first day, I didn't see any discounts offered, and a lot seems dumbfounded about the packages.
Did you happen to notice how much the Ind. Deluxe Package was on boarding day? How much was indv internet? Normally I buy it on board, because I am paying with cc points and OBC & 2 years ago it was the same!

RCI runs the sales to make sure they get the needed influx of money to pay for there stocking fees & above for all that alcohol for your sailing, and to over change newbies! Don't forget you are paying a 15 to 18% grats in that package! Which if anyone has done the math is an extra day of cost! Has anyone figured out the cost RCI takes in from all us for the entire sailing? It is a cool million or a little less! Don't forget about the internet windfall! Just like you don't really get your down payments back anymore! Welcome to the new Corporate ways of massive profiteering at its finest!

This solo is exhausted with bearing the brunt of these costs.
