  1. Brief review of our B2B May 17 to May 31 Oasis Cruise. Writing this from FLL airport waiting for our flight home. Lots of Oasis reviews and photos recently, so I wont go into too much depth. I'll post all our photos from our meals and letters and information regarding turnaround day, since I've seen lots of questions regarding the process for turnaround day when doing B2B. Once I get all my photos uploaded of the ship and ports I'll just post a link since I believe i've take over 1400 pics.

Arrived at the Fort Lauderdale airport at 12:11 May 17th. We collected our luggage and were at the cruise port by 1PM. It took 50 minutes to register and board the ship. Longer than I thought but no big deal we were hungry but glad to be here...by 2PM we were in the Park Cafe in Central Park having Roast Beef Sandwiches (first time for these roast beef sandwiches and they live up to all their hype).

Then we went to our room to check it out. Room for the Eastern Cruise was 7717 Boardwalk view, lots of space for us, something different (inside with a window over looking the Boardwalk). First thing we see on our bed is a letter warning us of GI issues on the previous cruise...We had no issue during this first week nor did we see anyone sick, more on this when I discuss our turnover day...

We then proceeded to Schooner Bar but just as you enter there is the future cruise office, so we went in and booked a 12 day cruise on Quantum of the Seas April 12, 2015...only 316 days to go.

Finally made it to schooner bar where we spent lots of time and money over the next two weeks. The staff was awesome and took great care of us, shout out to Dennis, Samuel, Vicky and Basil.

Sail away time: Ship was late leaving Fort Lauderdale on the 17th because security was looking for someone to escort off the ship. I believe someone got into a fight, so no cruise for them.

Enjoyed Chops, MDR and Park Cafe. Did NOT enjoy Johnny Rockets for breakfast.

We enjoyed all the shows, Hairspray, Come fly with Me, Comedy, Headliner Ron Lucas.

May 23 was a meeting for all of us that were doing B2B. Very well organized and I will post all the information regarding turnaround day once I get home and get everything uploaded.

May 24 turnaround day...for Western Cruise

The transfer from one cruise to the next was longer than I thought the whole process took about 1.5 hours. They said they had to do a deep cleaning because some people got sick (again) in the last couple of days. I'm not sure how they can do a deep cleaning of the Oasis in 1.5 hours but that is what they said. We did not get a letter informing us that GI was still an issue in our room this time. Again we did not see anyone sick or experience any issues. After we got back onboard they treated us to a free lunch at the specialty restaurant Giovanni's. Will post the menu we had later I'm sure it was not a full menu but was a great lunch.

We had cabin 10239 overlooking Central Park w/balcony for this week, the room was great.

So many pools and hot tubs on this ship you never have a problem getting a spot. Much better than the last cruise in the Winter out of NY where we didn't spend any time in the pools or hot tubs.

Rumours heard during this cruise: The entertainment on Quantum is to be release mid June I believe and I'm sure it was already posted but we just heard of a 3rd Quantum class ship coming.

  6. Having read through a DAY 1 Cruise Compass someone recently posted I see on the Boarding Day Edition "Specialty Dining Package. Save up to 20% and savor more at our best restaurants. Reserve a dining package featuring several quest-favorite restaurants that cant be missed. Visit any Specialty Restaurant on Deck 8 to reserve your package."

Even though we can't book these online they are available when you board the ship.

  7. I'm on the same May 17th sailing and I seen the Dinner packages online when we first booked. My wife and I were considering the Chops, Giovannis Table and 150 package. I was able to book my time dinning reservations (I wanted a specific time so i reserved)...then everything went offline where I couldn't make any reservations. A week goes by and then the Pre Cruise Planner is back and I don't see the dinner package anymore...So I know for a fact it was there and now is not...I should have booked, I'm sure it would have been honored

  8. No MJ music, well I just booked my first RCCL cruise, actually 2 we are going b2b on Oasis in May and I couldn't be happier that I will not have to listen to MJ

I may have only cruised 4 times but I know you DO NOT FILL UP your personal containers at drink stations...after what EOS has been through the last couple months I'm glad the staff is enforcing this rule.

Glad you wont be on my cruise

  9. We are sailing on the Breakaway next weekend Dec. 8th. and traveling to the pier early. My son and his girlfriend want to drop off their luggage then head out to 30 rock, and Time Square for a couple of hours. Question: are you allowed to drop off your luggage then leave the pier? maybe I'll have them leave it in the car till they get back from running around then check in on their own

    Any thoughts...
