You might also consider both Uber and Lyft....which generally are less expensive than taxis. If you walk out of the terminal and see a long taxi queue...just try the Uber or Lyft apps which will tell you the wait time and fare. Always good to know your options.
Hank
Just used Lyft 2 weeks ago both ways on my cruise out of Miami from FLL... about a 5 minute wait at airport and 10 min leaving the port. Easy!

Only 3 weeks until my cruise... yea!!! I'll let everyone know if there is any kind of problem when I return but I'm thinking I'll love being so close to the elevators!

Norwegian Jade 11/2015 Western Caribbean. Won $8,060 on an Ultimate Texas Hold em table (royal straight flush) on the 2nd night. Had them hold a check for $5k and picked up the last night. Spent on excursions etc some of the rest...went home with about $6.5k [emoji4] did make for a very fun cruise!

our cabins of choice: as mentioned, never get lost even if you had one too many, never have to walk a mile to use the elevators or stairs and absolutely no noise. I hear noise from other things but not from the location being too close to the elevators. Just off the BA, we were right there and loved it.
I think I'm going to love the location as well! The trek up and down the narrow long hallways I will not miss [emoji51]

I was in 15158 on Escape last week which was two rooms down from the elevator/stairs and had no noise issues whatsoever.
Great to hear!
Loving the humor on the last few posts!!!

We went on the Escape in Feb booking a spa balcony on the 15th deck right in the opening to the stairs/elevator. Absolutely loved it with no issues noise wise at all. We are going again, same room only on the opposite of ship, end of May.

Were you on the port or starboard side in Feb?
I think it's going to be just fine as I really won't spend much time in the cabin. Plan on using the spa a lot and so many activities to take advantage of as well as making a donation in the casino [emoji13]

A few of these posts had me concerned but think after reading most of the comments I'll be happy with the convenience of the location!!!
That's for the in depth assessment "don't-use-real-name".
Happy cruising to you all[emoji41][emoji267]

Thanks for all the comments!
I'm in room 15154, directly at the opening, with sun deck above and rooms below.
I do stay up rather late so noise in the morning may be of more concern for me.

Hey all... I've booked a spa balcony on the Escape in June and wondering if anyone has had a room at the opening to the stairs/elevators? Hopefully it won't be too noisy?

5 ...Escaping after Christmas for the NYE cruise [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]

What I meant is they don't give you a 1099 to report on table game wins over 1200 like slots but you are supposed to report winnings to IRS
-
Of course you are obligated to report. They will not give you any documentation on table wins period whether over 1200 or not. I can assure you I'll get a printout of win/loss from all casinos (including land based) and I'm just hoping my losses are break even with that win.... Somehow I would doubt that though [emoji38] ...always seem to lose overall but it's all in the entertainment value to me.

I hit for $8000 on Ultimate Texas Hold Em in mid November on the Jade [emoji4] no taxes on table games...just slots
-
Agree!!! Love your videos. They ought to pay the 2 of you to cruise and make videos! Can't wait for my NYE Escape....3 weeks and counting [emoji16][emoji267][emoji225]

No taxes on table game winnings only on slots.
-
I hope there is a large non smoking area in the casino on Escape...disappointed to hear the above comments.
Was on the Jade in mid November. Hit a royal flush on Ultimate Texas Hold Em table for 8,000 [emoji16]

Solo on the Escape December 26th for NYE! Who's joining me???

Wow, I'm so glad I read this thread as I didn't know these things. I really don't get it often but its very scary or at the very least annoying. I got it first time a few years ago just a couple days before we were hopping a plane to Hawaii. I went to the doc and he gave me a shot and gave me a prescription (can't remember what) and we did go but I was a little shaky the first day or so and didn't want to get in the water because of it.
I may have to ask my new doc about these exercises or maybe just google it?
I'm very lucky and do not get sea sick, but after our last cruise on BA I developed vertigo. I know it sounds hokey but apparently there are "crystals" in your inner ear. They tell your body where you are in relation to space. In my case a few crystals broke loose and migrated into the tubes in my ears. I believe this happened after a lot of trips down the various water slides :DI originally thought it was just the feeling I was still on the water after arriving home, but I continued to get worse. I finally saw a specialist and after one treatment he was able to put my crystals back where they belong! I haven't had any symptoms since. Vertigo is a terrible feeling and I'm so glad I was able to get it resolved. The treatment was just a series of specific movements done in a certain order.

What type of specialist did you see? Ear/Nose/Throat Doctor?
Usually a neurologist then physical therapist. It's called BPPV. You can google that and get all the info and most likely the exercises (Dix Hallpike maneuver)
Bermuda which ship?
