  1. So far so good,  but US doesn't test for Coronovirus, unless you were in China in the last 14 days, or on the Princess.  There may be a bunch of hidden cases at the moment.  *I hope surely not*  The tests we do have apparently remain faulty.     Loads of people are under self quarantine right now.    Seems like smooth sailing.   But it's popped up heavy in Japan, Korea, Iran, and now Italy.   A really bad omen for Med cruises.   I'm a glass half full guy, so got  to balance out you rosey-sunshine's a little bit  🙂        There is one in Finland,  so far not spread.

  2. I doubt there is any point in repositioning them now,   probably be mothballed for the short-term.   The demand for cruises is going to keep going drastically down for the foreseeable future.   It's going to require heavy discounts to keep the ships populated.   And that's if they are even legally allowed to sail,  as more and more countries encounter difficulties with the virus they will be turning away ever more cruise ships.

  3. There is a really good chance that ship will never sail.    Cases are starting to explode world wide.   Apparently ships don't fare well.   Poor cruise lines are going to get crushed.   I expect the Mardi Gras isn't going to be finished for awhile,  once the production lines stop in Finland.   Check back on this post in June.   lol

  4. I'm booked on the Thanksgiving week cruise,  which will currently be the second cruise.   However, based on the history of Mardi Gras earlier sister ships already launched by Meyer Turku,  they all faced multiple delays and cancellations.    Each ship has gotten faster to production,  but  based on past history,  I'm doubtful this is the last notice of delay.     I'd start thinking of being flexible with your plans on Mardi Gras through January just in case.

Also interesting to note, is they didn't create a new trans-atlantic sailing.   That's a lot of lost revenue.   Sort of think when this gets nailed down, we might see a last minute (5 - 6 months out trans-atlantic sailing pop back up.)

Also hoping that all the venue's are up and running on the early sailings.   The Bolt, is probably the most dicey to be operational.
