Any others out there still unable to log in. We have constantly gotten message that Azamara does not recognize our email.

Has anyone who is scheduled to sail in the next 30 days received any correspondence from Azamara

email perhaps that is recapping their info.

If I were the CEO I would put out a message on the website to all of our customers about the causes and fixes however brief and this might help assure people that someone in charge is aware and working on it....but alas no one asked me

Yes, I’m in the same boat of having an unrecognized account. I also don’t understand why Azamara doesn’t post a “known problem, working on it”. I worked in IT and I understand the difficulties with a system transition. What I don’t understand is why Azamara isn’t more proactive in communicating with customers about these problems.

  2. I am very frustrated with Azamara. I am one of those who is having trouble logging in because the system doesn’t recognize my email. I wrote a message to Azamara Cruises, explaining that I have been on Azamara cruises before and that I was a discoverer  plus which obviously means that I have sailed before. I received a generic email response telling me that my email is not in the system and that if I am a new customer, all I need to sign up. I appreciate the fact that they are having trouble but they can’t be sending these ridiculous generic emails to their long-term customers; they must know by now that they have a problem with the database.

  3. I’m amongst those whose account email is no longer recognized by the new system. Although we are Discoverer Plus, our last Azamara cruise was in 2016. All the difficulties they are having certainly explain why other cruise lines continue to use their legacy systems. I’ve contacted Azamara Cruises, but don’t expect a quick response.

  4. I am twice vaccinated and double boosted, yet got COVID anyway (at home). My primary care physician ordered Paxlovid, but there were many considerations to be made (including current prescriptions as well as kidney functioning). It would surprise me if ship’s physicians prescribed this drug routinely,  I would not count on it.

  5. Scroll all the way down to the end of the page on Azamara.com and you should see a country flag (should be US since you are being quoted in US Dollars). Touch the flag and other country flags will show up. Choose the Canadian flag.  Cheers.

  6. We did a B2B version of this cruise in 2016. We had to get a visa ourselves for India. This is a must do. Sri Lanka visas were accomplished by Azamara. Dubai also had a visa requirement that was needed after we deplaned. Of course, you need to check and see what has changed since then.

Edited to add: I’m from the U.S., I notice you are from the U.K. This likely will make a difference. We had to get a full visa, not an E-Visa. I think this has changed.

  7. If you book through any type of TA (including “Big Box”), it’s my understanding that  they must make any rate modifications for you, so I don’t think you can deal directly with Azamara yourself. Also, sometimes travel agencies book “special group rates” that are difficult to get modified under some of the OBC offers.

  8. I’m assuming it’s an IT issue. They are working on disengaging from Royal Caribbean’s IT infrastructure and they probably don’t have their own payment module ready yet. Seems that would be one of the first things they would want to do

  9. We flew out of SEA/TAC this past Friday (not cruise related).  We arrived at the airport at 6:00 a.m. and they were already re-routing cars headed to departures to the arrivals area to drop off passengers. It was very crowded. Bear in mind that some gates require an additional short train ride(D, N, S and A). We found TSA to be reasonably quick and efficient, however. Have a great trip.

  10. In case you haven’t flown out of  FCO, it can be a slow process. I don’t know if it has been improved since I last flew out after a cruise, but you have to move to a second terminal, going through similar long checkpoints (traveling business class helps a little, but not that much). Since our first experience, we have always overnighted near the airport. A much more relaxing way to end a trip. Cheers and have a great trip.

  11. And this email came today, also

After a long pause and more than a year of challenges, it is my honor to deliver some amazing news! Azamara’s return to sailing date is now confirmed for August 28, 2021, and we couldn’t be more excited. We will officially be back with six new 7-nightGreece Intensive itineraries for Azamara Quest®, open for booking on May 11, 2021. We couldn’t have done this without the support of loyalty members like you! Together, we will explore this new world — all while keeping health and safety a top priority.

We are thrilled to kick off our sailings in Greece, one of our favorite countries in the Mediterranean. These journeys let you unpack once before immersing you in Greece’s legendary locales, as well as smaller ports larger ships can’t reach. Of course, we offer longer stays, more overnights, and unique experiences that allow you to absorb more of Greece’s culture — from the charming turreted buildings of Rhodes to the Cretan delicacies of Heraklion and all the quaint tavernas in between.

To ensure a safe environment for everyone, we will require all guests and crew to be vaccinated. It’s our way of taking care of one another, and keeping our Azamara family healthy. In addition to this new measure, we have enhanced our health and safety protocols in collaboration with the Royal Caribbean Group’s Healthy Sail Panel. We will share more updates on this once these new Greek voyages open for booking on May 11, 2021.

We hope this news brings a smile to your face! Start counting down the days until you’re reunited with your favorite crew and fellow Azamara Circle℠ members as we get ready to make our greatest comeback yet.”

    All my best,

  12. With this important mention about Loyalty reciprocity

Accrued Captain’s Club points, along with Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society benefits, will continue to be shared reciprocally between all three cruise lines, provided you have had at least one past sailing with Azamara.”

    Ah TY

Its been at least since COVID that I tried and it didn’t work

I will try to reset it

Do I need to contact their loyalty cs for help? Or can it be done via the website?

At the time it happened there was a prompt to make the change to our email accounts.. If I were you, I would call and see if they can reset it for you or at least explain how to get your account working again,

I did notice that I could not login to our Azamara profile with our loyalty number

We had status based on out Celebrity elite as well.

Sent an email to customer service and the reply seemed to be clueless with respect to my question or what happens to our status

I don’t know long it’s been since you logged on to Azamara, but, quite a while ago, I remember having to change from my username to my email for the login.  Now, I can only login using my email.

  15. I don’t think anyone knows for sure. It will likely depend on when the split happens and what they decide to do with bookings made before the split. . As you saw on the other loyalty benefits thread, eventually status on Azamara will not exist for Captain’s Club members who have earned all of their points on Celebrity. The loyalty benefits on AZ have always been different (and less than those on Celebrit IMO). But, eve without getting your Celebrity status, I expect you would enjoy the cruise experience on Azamara (if it remains comparable to before the pandemic and the sale to Sycamore). Cheers!

Read the content in the link. I think you mistakenly went directly to the FAQ’s (easy to do).

“We’re happy to share that you’ll keep any reciprocal points that you’ve earned to date for Celebrity or Azamara.

In other words, you will not lose any previously earned Club Points or Azamara Circle Points. You’re also still able to earn cumulative points in both programs for the time being.  At some point in the future this benefit will change, and members will only earn points when sailing on their respective cruise line. We’ll continue to keep you updated with any additional information.”

Thank you. This is very clear.

I read it to be what has always been the case, your Celebrity status is recognised for the purposes of reciprocal benefits onboard (events invites, laundry, Wifi etc) but you don’t acquire an equivalence on your Azamara record until the conclusion of your first cruise.  I cannot imagine this would change, after all guests moving over from Celebrity have always been a target market and may be even more so in the future.

I don’t see any statement about reciprocity between Azamara and Celebrity status. Maybe I missed it, but the only reciprocity mentioned was between Celebrity and Crown and Anchor.

  18. I found these FAQ to be very interesting.  Reciprocity was mentioned between Celebrity and Crown and Anchor only (which has little to do with Azamara).  Also, it appears that Azamara Circle status will be fleeting for those who have earned all their points with Celebrity.

    • As an Azamara Circle member, will I have status and points with Celebrity's Captain's Club if I’ve only ever sailed with Azamara?

Yes. Captain’s Club points are currently earned for both Azamara and Celebrity sailings. Members will keep any points previously earned from sailings on either cruise line.Yes. No. To have had status or points with Azamara, you must have at least one past sailing with Azamara.

    • Will the reciprocity benefits between Celebrity Captain's Club and Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor Society continue?

Yes.  There will be no change to the reciprocal benefits between Captain’s Club and Crown & Anchor Society.
