tiger-91 Posted December 7, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted December 7, 2017 Hello thanks for the menus , can I ask what time the dinner sittings are? I think we asked for the early sitting (knowing that might be late enough) are the menus the main dining room ? Also the Gala menu did they also have a Vegetarian menu? We are so excited :D one question do you have to put your toilet paper in a bin instead of flushing? we are on Deck 5 outside room what are you in and where are you ? Have fun and thanks again for posting the info on Pullmanur is sparse Dinner seating is 7:30 and either 9:30 or 10. They do have a vegetarian menu readily available on gala night. I am in room 4120 and have no problems with toilet paper in toilet. I do have a problem with being above a repair shop. (Hammering, metal clanking) and one night the captain was doing something for at least a half hour that made the ship shake as if docking. Like trying to sleep on a noisy train! But that was just once. Of course when docking there's no sleeping either. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

glittergal1 Posted December 8, 2017 #28 Share Posted December 8, 2017 lots of dress up theme nights :D is there quite a party atmosphere on board? is it mainly Spanish or many English speakers too ?
tiger-91 Posted December 8, 2017 Author #29 Share Posted December 8, 2017 lots of dress up theme nights :D is there quite a party atmosphere on board? is it mainly Spanish or many English speakers too ? there aren't many venues... really just four --- the casino lounge, the rendezvous lounge, the disco, and the coffee bar. But yes, very lively. If an English speaking cruiser gets involved with the activity, they'll do English. Likewise French, German. They're there to please. If you stay in background and assume they know you're there, they won't. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

tiger-91 Posted December 8, 2017 Author #31 Share Posted December 8, 2017 .... And I have a late flight back can you take note of what is the last time to leave the ship, sorry to mention that when you have just started. Many thanks they have you covered. Just let them know. I received the disembarking instructions today. And, because I'm doing a b2b, I got a letter for that too. tiger-91 Posted December 8, 2017 Author #33 Share Posted December 8, 2017 One thing I keep forgetting to mention is that I haven't been getting nightly turn down service. And carts aren't in hall anytime evening either so I assume nobody does. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
AnOnymously Posted December 8, 2017 #34 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Thanks for the information, much appreciated. I think I can manage without an evening turndown for the price they charge:D, but will miss the chocolate;p

I found out that the late departure costs 25€, but you have full, normal access to facilities (No cabin) like pool, buffet, sauna, gym, coffee and the lowest tier of free drinks. It appeared that they stored your carryon on too at reception. Luggage gets a blue color tag, I think, and is stored in the warehouse for pickup at will. tiger-91 Posted December 9, 2017 Author #38 Share Posted December 9, 2017 according to the planner I'm getting a new cruise director today, so I'll post the dailies this week too, to compare. tiger-91 Posted December 9, 2017 Author #39 Share Posted December 9, 2017 Hope you have a fantastic cruise. We do the cruise in March, those menus would be nice. If there is no refrigerator is there anywhere to get ice? ..... . Many thanks because I'm doing a b2b, I received a bottle of bubbly as thanks. That prompted me to ask my steward about ice. He knows nothing about providing a bucket or how a passenger would get ice. But another passenger said they got their bubbly bucket refilled to rechill the bubbly from a bar. So you're on your own for ice in the room. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk Thanks again, so helpful with so little information available from their site or the web. I had to cross my fingers when I booked, it was the itinerary that I wanted, don't want to sail from UK or inside Med and was wondering what one got for the price paid. You have re-assured us so much.

tiger-91 Posted December 10, 2017 Author #42 Share Posted December 10, 2017 As far as excursions go. I booked the precruise Siete package special for active excursions, like hiking and surfing. Four of the six were cancelled due to disinterest. In many ports only two to four excursions had any interest. Therefore several buses went to same places. But all non-spanish speakers were put on a single bus together... with Spaniards. So the guides spoke in Spanish and then English. However I noticed one guide who spoke for ten minutes in Spanish and then only four in English so.... In general there were always some passengers who were talking over both languages regardless of their nationality. But the bus speakers are plenty loud to down them out. The excursions appear to be well run with caring guides and drivers. I haven't heard any complaints. The cheapest tours are subsidised by visiting shops with demonstrations. I'd go into more detail but experiences are so subjective that I think I'll leave it there. Getting to the bus is a bit hectic. You're only told if you buy your tickets on board to show up at the rendezvous lounge fifteen minutes earlier than the meeting time. But that's in case you have forgotten your key card. So if you are sure you have everything, you can show up at your meeting time. Have your ticket and key card in hand and show it to the person with the microphone who'll be guarding a door. Then show your ticket to the next employee and say English to get your bus sticker. Then you go to the theatre and sit in your designated area and wait. They'll ask you to put the sticker on, tear off the ticket stub and wait. Then when your bus number is called, have the stub and key card in hand as you walk down the stairs and through security. After security you can put the key card away. Give the stub to the guide at the bus. (If you don't have them in hand, you'll be asked several times to do so. It's just easier to flash them as you walk past the excursion employees.) Also not shown online is a bike excursion that they do every day for 59€, but I could have gotten a 10€ discount just by enquiring with the guide. tiger-91 Posted December 10, 2017 Author #43 Share Posted December 10, 2017 Have I posted the spa menu? I'm sure you can get a discount if you act like you need convincing when discussing the options with a spa person. (In other words, don't just book over the phone.) tiger-91 Posted December 10, 2017 Author #46 Share Posted December 10, 2017 Here are the current wifi packages. The paper was in room day 1. The screenshots are from connecting to Horizon's wifi on today, day 2 (So daily package prices are discounted.) But when I connected to wifi, I tried to see what I could do without paying. I clicked the menu button (three lines at top) and the "Zona Communal" or "community zone" if I chose English, I got these choices: Clicking the "pullmantur app" brings up a webpage very similar to the NCL iConcierge app. I haven't been able to test with other cruisers but it looks like you can use this to text others while onboard. And the itinerary of day's events is on there too. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Rare terry&mike Posted December 10, 2017 #47 Share Posted December 10, 2017 Thank you so much for your posting, I am following every bit and find it very informative. I am booked on a May sailing to the Norwegian Fjords, and like others could find very little information on the website. We are going with an open mind and an adventurous spirit. We are sailing in the Waves Black level - do you see any noticeable difference in perks for these passengers?

Noticeable to me is a private seating area at rendezvous lounge (But it's a horrible view of band if any), and a not private yet locked, separate sundeck of fourteen padded loungers. Not noticeable is the private dining room. Maybe bath robes too. Seen seldom. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
AnOnymously Posted December 10, 2017 #49 Share Posted December 10, 2017 I hope we do not intrude too much on your cruise, thanks once again. I asked about excursions and language because after booking we went on a Celebrity Med cruise and one of the guides said she had been helping some Pullmantur guests because their guide was not speaking any English and they did not even know what time the excursion was leaving t go back to the ship! No problems. I just didn't want to get too specific in detail about the particular excursion, i.e. was it worth it, etc. Perhaps the ones that got cancelled didn't have enough non-spanish speakers, but I didn't get that impression from the staff. For the people that didn't know when to meet back at the bus.... that's kind of their fault for not verifying, but we don't know what really happened. Every excursion had an English speaking guide.
