I understand "Taxi Stockholm" seems to have the best reputation other than considering private transport which is more expensive. They do have a website and I believe you can arrange transport with them in advance on that website.

I forgot to mention we did use them to go from downtown Stockholm to the airport 2 years ago and it was a good experience--our hotel arranged for them to pick us up and they were very prompt.

Take the train from the airport to downtown Stockholm and then get a taxi at the train station. The train at the airport goes right into the airport and is super fast into town.

I´m always using the https://www.arlandaexpress.com/ its superfast and as their station at Arlanda is just under the terminal, it´s an elevatortrip away and there are plenty of room on the trains for luggage in my opinion. They also have great deals summertime.

When you arrive down town just grab a cab from the Arlandaexpress taxiqueue, they only allow reliable taxicompanys there so you wont get scammed.

If you want to go by taxi from Arlanda you can preorder here http://www.taxistockholm.se/en/ or here http://www.taxikurir.se/

We had an excelllent experience with Taxi Stockholm upon our disembarkation in 2011. Our taxi pulled up just as we emerged from the terminal and walked past the several hundred poor souls waiting in a taxi line with no taxis.

The Arlanda express can be very expensive although using it the weekend (at least in 2011) one could get 2-for-1 tickets.

Not sure if you really would save much money over taking a taxi right from the airport to the terminal.
