Is lunch available upon boarding?

Thinking about boarding in St Maarten around 1 pm in order to get rid of luggage. Is lunch available on the ship or should we look for lunch elsewhere? Would there be restaurants in the area?

A light lunch is usually provided in the Veranda when you board - sandwiches, salads and pasta.

We had pasta on the Surf in St-Maarten.

I have always been pleased with the welcome aboard lunch offerings.

Thanks for the help! We have always arrived mid afternoon and never had looked for a lunch offering. The photos are making me hungry!

Once we get all checked in and get lunch, would there be time to go back on shore for a little shopping before the ship leaves in the evening ? Or get checked in, and go back a-shore ?

would all depend on when the plane arrives and when we get to the ship, one would guess...

I'm don't know your sailing time, but the water taxi to Philipsburg and the shopping on Front Street is quick and convenient to the ship. We dropped our luggage off last year at the ship and then did some shopping for an hour or two before reboarding.
