Rental cars in San Pedro

Has anyone had problems renting a car in San Pedro? I am considering doing one way rentals to/from LAX so we can do some sightseeing before and after our cruise. Has anyone had a problem with renting a car from San Pedro and finding that they do not have enough cars? I don't want to get there after the cruise and find out there is no car waiting for me! Thanks!

Get priority off boarding so they don't run out of cars. I would think they can tell by advanced reservations how many cars they need available, but if it is a concern a) rent from a major (Hertz, Avis, National) and b) be first off the ship.

I have used Enterprise before with no problems. They pick you up at the port and drive you to their San Pedro office to get the car.
