Do taxi's accept US Currency/credit cards or do you have to exchange?

Taxis accept US currency. USD is accepted everywhere in Bermuda and the Bermuda dollar is pegged to the US dollar. No need to exchange. You don’t want to exchange for Bermuda currency except as a souvenir as if you don’t spend Bermuda currency in Bermuda, you will be stuck with it. You won’t be able to exchange it back.

Most taxis don’t accept credit cards. Taxis, public buses and ferries are about all you need to have some cash to for. Shops, restaurants, and attractions take credit cards, MC and Visa; Discover is not accepted and some might not take AMEX. There is a taxi app called Hitch that you can use to call for a taxi and pay the metered rate plus 15% with a credit card. However recent reports are that actually getting a taxi with the app is not reliable.
