Seaborne encore Games

Recommended Posts

If you want shuffle board, golf hitting or golf putting you will choose Seabourn Odyssey, Sojourn or Quest and proceed to deck 11. Encore and Ovation have the $350/day members-only Retreat hang-out in the equivalent deck space on deck 12.

Consequence? Less deck space for those who won’t shell out for the Retreat, less space on deck per passenger by far on those 2 ships, no deck sports.

When you look at the Odyssey class ships’ deckplans, don’t be fooled by the verbiage saying “Retreat” up there on deck 11. That’s where the deck sports are and there is no Retreat thankfully. Might have been the handiwork of some over-eager but sadly confused marketing type at head office.

Happy and healthy sailing!

At that price it's likely to be a very select retreat! Used mainly by Seabourn club members with their perk!

What perk? I know of no benefit at any Club level which allows you to use The Retreat. In fact the only all-inclusive thing about it is everyone has to pay for it.

English Tim,

Perhaps you are confusing the Member benefit of the one day pass in the Spa Serene area with the Retreat. As has been noted, don’t think there is any such benefit for Club Members that includes access to the Retreat.

I hardly consider it a perk to be cooped up in a cabana with no sea view. The Retreat would only work on a Carnival or Royal Caribbean or Norwegian ship where it would allow you to get away from the other five thousand people on board. You don't need to do that on Seabourn.
