Renaissance Aruba Private Island day pass

Arriving 4/27, can any one advise if day passes are available and if so where do we obtain?

Is it just a day pass to use beach and facility OR will it be all inclusive. I am thinking about doing this myself!!!!!! Is it far from the pier? I know the Renaissance Curacao is right AT the pier, but not sure about this one.

I sent an email to the Renaissance and they said they are not doing day passes any longer. :( Does anyone know if that's true or not?

I would assume if the hotel tells you this, it's true.

You may want to consider just renting a room for the day. You don't have to actually stay there. If you are paying for two adults for a day pass, you're already paying $150. I just did a quick look, and found room prices as low as $159.25 for the AAA rate. They might be lower if you are there different dates.

Maybe this program is discontinued because the paying guests complained? I know I wouldn't be happy if I was paying to stay there.

I just returned from Aruba, (Nov-Dec 2010) and I was able to purchase day passes at the resort. When contacting the hotel via phone two weeks in advance, they told me no. But we walked up and asked them directly in person and to my surprise it was yes! I was walking towards surfside beach so we decided to check about the day pass situation. The lady explained to me that in low season they do sell day passes.

It was 75 dollars, which included transportation via boat to the island, use of their chairs, free meal including alchohol beverage and one free usage of water equipment such as snorkel gear or floating matt etc.

It was a great day and loved it. Nice people there. The only hiccup in Nov/Dec 2010 is that a hurricane had just passed and part of the island was not accessible.

All in all, it was a good day and a good choice.
