Nassau/Freeport with toddler

We're taking our grandson who will be 18 months old when we sail to the Bahamas with us. What would you guys recommend we do in Nassau and Freeport with him? I've been to the Bahamas before but we didn't have a little one with us then. Ideas? Thanks in advance!

In Freeport I would take a cab to Our Lucaya area and just wander. If you have a fold-up stroller I would take it as there is plenty of walking. Beach/shops/food/casino.... I think at that age they may allow him in. Not sure though. We are going on Capt. Tony's snorkel tour and it is highly recommend here (look below for review). I think he accommodates younger children.

Nassau - take a walk with him in the stroller downtown - cab it Atlantis and just wander...

let him play in the pool with no one around (baby pool) - I mean the ship pool

We had a great time on a snorkeling tour with Capt Tony and the Sand Dollar. We were there in Aug and I have to say our day would be hard to top. Sailing, snorkeling, swimming, wading, beach-combing, sunning, shopping and believe it or not relaxing!!!!! It was just what we needed on our last port day. He has a beautiful boat and his service in top notch. we had a big group (about 20) age 6-68 and we all felt we got way more than we paid for. Shuttles were waiting at the dock and at the marketplace to get there and back. Some of us went back to the ship after the tour and some stayed and prowled the Marketplace.

There are pictures of his boat on his website. It has railings all around the front and a nice cabin area. You can take a look at the pictures and see if it would work for you and your little one.

Good Luck!!!
