For Host Chris..Alamanda?

Hey Chris:

 

Went to St. Martin/Orient Beach on the Glory in 2003. Fell in love and now want to return for a week's stay. After researching think that the Alamanda Hotel will be my choice. Any thoughts or does anyone else have an opinion.

 

Also, although Orient has most of the activities we enjoy right there...might want to taxi to Dutch side for a night at casinos. Any idea of cab fare from Orient to Dutch side. Not really interested in renting car (I've seen the driving there lol).

 

1 more thing... weather in april???

 

Any help or recommendations will be appreciated

I know it looks pretty dang nice from it's website but that's about all..never been there personally...yet!
