Car rental--1 day off cruise ship

Hi, we will be in Bonaire for one day on Nov. 12th off the Caribbean Princess cruise ship. Was wondering if anyone has rented a car here for one day. If so, what was the cost, who did you use? We are avid snorkelers and would like to make the best use of our time there by driving to different beaches and snorkeling. Being that there are 4 of us, it seems the most economic choice would be renting a car. If anyone has done this any info. or advice would be appreciated.

Snorkeling is great to the south but a rough entry.

1000 steps is a long walk after a tiring swim.

Ditto but for Feb/2010. So many places to choose from and some charge for cancellations, others charge you if you get a flat tire, and not travelling with my husband who always takes care of these types of details....are there many car rentals right at the port?

We rented from Avis - I think. They were at the airport and very helpful! We were one of the first people off the ship (It was a trip to get off early but we did!)and grabbed a cab on the outside of the line. They double and triple park so go to the outside.

 

The driver got us to the airport within 5 minutes. We were off very quickly with our Jeep.

 

Upon return, the folks from Avis dropped us off at the pier.

 

We LOVED Bonaire!!!!! Enjoy!
