Anyone w/Liberty Fleet Experience

I previously posted this question in another section of CC but didn't receive any feedback from anyone that has had previous experience, so I thought I'd try here.

My husband has always wanted to try a "barefoot" cruise - the kind where you're on a "tall ship" and you can participate as a crew member if you want.

My husband is actually being forced into retirement in a couple of months, and I'm toying with the idea of surprising him with a barefoot cruise, even though we're really watching our $$ right now. (He's going to have to find some other kind of employment, and that's a little scary right now.)

I realize this is a very different type of cruise than the mass market lines: No balcony, no formal nights, no casino, no entertainment, etc., but this more down-to-earth type of cruise has a different kind of appeal (we think).

I've been unable to find any reviews online, and am really hoping to find someone on CC who has been on these trips, and what the experience was like.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Surprising to think that with all the people on these boards, nobody has done this kind of trip that is willing to share their experience. Is there another thread where someone is more likely to see and comment? Or does anyone have ideas as to where I might look to obtain reviews on this fleet?

Thanks very much for any help anyone can provide.

Howdy:

There has been only one review of the Liberty Clipper that I have found so far and that was on the Windjammer Flotilla under other ships.

The review was done by the owner of the ship but it sounded pretty legit to me.

I have talked to the owner on the phone and had a bunch of questions, of which, he took the time to answer.

It sounds pretty much Windjammeresq to me but we will have to wait and see.

I will be sailing the first week of March so I'll be able to get a mini review done, if the price is right. <g>

This is there first year sailing in the Bahama's but the owner sounded very familiar with the islands. I hope they will find it worth while because their is a need, a need to go sailing, yeah.
