How close to your sailing can you still book shore excursions on the internet?

I THINK it's 10-14 days prior to sailing. When we sailed in February DH and I signed up for a snorkeling excursion and shortly before sailing my nephew who was going with us tried to sign up, but was unable to.......he WAS able to sign up when we got on board. Then the darn excursion was canceled anyway.

You can book or cancel up until 4 days before online

Then it has changed. It used to be 10 days.
