Tour of the bridge?

My fiance and I would really like to organize a tour of the bridge somehow. Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to go about doing this? My mother-in-law goes on cruises with RCI all the time, and she has said to simply write a letter to the captain and he will decide whether or not to take you. Thoughts? Thanks!

It might be very hard if your not D+ since your sailing on one of the first sailings.

I have sailed RCCL & Princess and have written a letter and always have received an invitation to to the bridge. Usually it has not been more than 20 people on the bridge when we have toured. We have been able to stay out there for at least 1 hour..

My status is Platiumn, I usually write a short note, addressed to the Captain and drop it off at the Purser's desk once we board.
