swdke Posted September 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2009 If I were interested in two different same day tours offered by Princess, where say one returns at 2 pm, and the 2nd tour departs at 2:30 pm, with only a 30 min. gap, is it possible? Thanks
paul929207 Posted September 10, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2009 It is possible, but keep in mind that sometimes tours run late. There is no guarentee you will make the second one.
Rosethorn40 Posted September 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 10, 2009 As long as the first tour is back on time, or only a little late you should be fine. I find that the tours rarely leave right on schedule (Unlike the ship which will normally leave exactly on time). Also, the tour operators know how many to expect for a tour, and will take a head count and wait for any tardy guests-up to a point. A few things to keep in mind when booking a back to back shore excursion; is it a tender port? Some excursions I have taken have left directly from the ship, other tours I was told to meet on the pier, and still other had me go to the theater to wait for a tender. And what type of tour is the first tour? Some types of tours are notorious for running late, while others run like clockwork. I have booked back to back tours on several occasions and have never had a problem, but I am sure you will hear a few horror stories.
georoc01 Posted September 10, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2009 Maybe.. My dad loves to do this and has had times where the ship's excursion desk said they were too close and wouldn't let him do it.
paul929207 Posted September 10, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 10, 2009 If you do it, make sure you take everything you will need for both tours when you head to the second.
