Vaporetto & Aliguna~Same thing?

:confused:I'm a bit confused....The transportation card you can purchase ahead on veniceconnected.com...is this just for the vaporetto or the Aliguna airport transport too? We need to get from Marco Polo Airport to the Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel about 6pm on Nov.11. I understand there is an Aliguna boat that goes there direct from airport. Is that a different ticket than the vaporetto that I can get a 72 hour ticket for and not start it's use til the next morning. I hope that makes sense and I appreciate getting set straight!:p

We are also staying at the Molino Stucky. We purchased an Alilaguna ticket from the airport to the hotel and then a separate 72 hour vaporetto pass to get around the city.

Thanks...that's what i thought, but didn't want to buy both if not necessary! When are you traveling...what ship?

What was the cost of the pass from aiport to the Hilton? How often do the boats run? How long does it take? Thinking of the Hilton pre and/or post cruise before flying out next am.

We are leaving the states on 10/4 and arriving VCE on 10/5 at 9:00am. We board the Ruby Princess 10/7 and spend another night on her before leaving 10/8.

 

We paid 15 Euros for the transport to the hotel from the airport and 23.80 Euros for the 72 hour vaporetto pass which includes admission to the casino with a free drink. Use venicelink.com to purchase them in advance and save a few euros. What you get is a PNR number voucher that you print off and then you turn it in at a vaporetto station. I don't know how long it takes from the airport to the hotel, but they run about every hour.

Does the Aliguana boat from the airport drop you near the Hilton? My impression was that you got off at "Zattarette" (sp?) and the Hilton shuttle boat picked you up there. The Alilaguna goes right to the hotel. As far as hotel to ship, we figure to take the vaporetto to P. Roma and then a cab to the ship.

Silly me!!!!!! It was 23.80 Euros for a 48 hour vaporetto pass when purchased on line. Sorry.:o
