judyfssw Posted January 2, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2005 I've been looking at the bridgecams recently and it seems that it shows different scenery than what has been in the past. Is the Constellation now docking at a different spot? Does anyone know what's happening?

Jumbie Posted January 2, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2005 Here. To answer your question, there is a thread in the RCCL forum about this. I think that it's cause of this past week's cruise though which was 9 days instead of the usual 7 making the Constellation leave today (Sunday) instead of Saturday. There are lots of ships leaving PR on Sunday and I think they're using a different dock. Not 100% sure though and I might be wrong. Thread is here. Dblblessed Posted January 3, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 3, 2005 I don't know which dock it was using prior to my December 11th cruise, BUT, I can tell you we didn't dock at the are of Old San Juan like I had thought we would. There were NO shopping or hotels within walking distance of where we were. The Serenade of the Seas was next to us too and that's how it was for them. When we returned to port on the 18th, we returned to the same pier. The Pier for the Carnival Destiny and some other ships was across the bay area
doree Posted January 3, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 3, 2005 There are 2 ports to dock in in PR....one is right in Old SJ,which is the one we love, the other is about a 10 min drive away from Old SJ. We have been to both.
DAJ Posted January 3, 2005 #8 Share Posted January 3, 2005 Just got off the Constellation yesterday. There were 6 ships which arrived in port. Both berths at the Pan American pier were being used by RCCL. The Golden Princess was directly across from them. The Destiny and Volendam shared a pier downtown and the Connie had the first pier to itself.
new_cruiser Posted January 3, 2005 #9 Share Posted January 3, 2005 The Pan American Pier is the one that is a short drive from Old San Juan. It is where the Constellation docked for our cruise a year ago.
