1) Do Vegetarians have many options on this trip?

 

2) At Ensenada is there much shopping right there at the pier? If I remember right from a trip there with CCL in 2001 there was a nice set of shops right at the ship.

 

3) Anyone here done the Coronado Cycling tour while in San Diego?

 

4) I go to Vegas often and I am wondering if the casino on this ship is any good. How are the slot odds? I noticed on CCL I NEVER won even a nickle and lost my $50 at the slots in about 5 minutes. I don't plan on coming home rich but I like my quarters to last longer than a few minutes :)

 

5) the Casino building tour in Catalina, is that a morning thing? It is only a hour long tour so I was wondering if it was stuck in the middle of the day or if you could do it early and have time for another tour.

I have done this trip twice and will be going again in March. Let me take a crack at answering your questions.

 

My daughter does not eat meat (but is not a true vegan) and there were plenty of choices for her to select.

 

The shopping is a short distance from the pier. Some people take cabs there but we walked. The shopping itself is concentrated on 4-5 block area. My friends had a great time picking up bargains. I bought a nice, fake Burberry carryon bag. I left them to hike another half mile to the winery and totally enjoyed a wine tasting with a few other Americans. We headed out before the ship tour crowds showed up.

 

On Catalina, I have done the underwater viewing boat and a tour to the airport at the top of tne island. Sorry I can't answer about your selections.

 

However - casinos I know! Ship slot odds are dreadful. I only play nickels for entertainment. My daughter and son have done well on roulette and blackjack. Slots tend to hit only on the first night out and a bit on the last night.
