countdown clocks

has anybody else had trouble creating a countdown clock or am i just a dummy. (it's possible):rolleyes:

I've never been able to create them and have them display properly. I always get the question mark like you have. It could be because they aren't too Mac compatible.

1. The Cruise Critic Countdown Clocks

 

So easy to do, and all on one page. Put in all the information you want, create your code and copy and paste.

Just go to the top of the page and click on Countdown Clocks.

 

 

2.This clock below has two links. They will link to the same form, with the same results. I use this type.

With this one it will say, "Generate Clock for CruiseCritic!" Copy and paste it into your signature box..

 

 

3.New Link http://www.tickerfactory.com/ezticke...r_designer.php

When done with each step, copy the bb code and paste it into your signature box..

 

4. New Link http://www.ucruiser.com/ticker/

Go through the four easy steps and highlight and copy the second box down then paste it into your signature box.

This is what you will see:

PseudoHTML, UBBCode or BBCode

Use for Cruisecritic.com and similar board signatures

Used on many message boards that don't allow HTML.

 

 

5. This one is really easy to do.

All they want you to do is sign in now and they will explain why. It is still free.

Once you have a clock picked out and have copied the code.

To get to your signature box, go to the top of the page where it says "Cruise Critic Message Boards.

Right under that you will see USER CP on the left

Click on that. When it opens click on EDIT SIGNATURE.

Paste your clock in the second box down. Click on PREVIEW POST. If it looks right, click on SAVE SIGNATURE.

 

Have fun trying them.

I think there is a problem for some, not all of us.

 

My countdown for my Nov cruise was showing just fine and then went KAPUT!

 

Tried everything I knew, didn't take long, and went to another site and used theirs.

It seems to me when my cc clock is dowm, no matter where I go to create one-it tells me my file is invalid. I even found these through other ccers clocks that were visible while mine was down.

I gave up after a while and then like magic-voila-my clock re-appeared.

I don't have a Mac so I really don't know why it happens. :confused:

I really miss it when its gone!!!

If you want to delete the cruisecritic clock in your signature then go to "User CP" in the top menu, click "Edit signature".

Here you will see the clock image in the box. Click on the image once and hit delete on your keyboard. Click "Save Signature".

 

That should do it for you...

I was having the same problem and I use a Mac. There was another thread about how to fix it if you are using Firefox and doing the countdown clocks here from Cruisecritic. You need to change the symbol after the date to "&image" (w/o quotes) and it works.

Aha! I was pretty sure it was some sort of code problem, but had no idea what. Now it works! Thanks!
